The Opening Prayer (In Unison) Your splendor fills us with wonder, O Lord. Your magnificence fills us with awe. In Christ, you show us the power and the depth of your love. Be with us now as we worship you. Open our hearts and mold our wills so that we may be your faithful, obedient servants, giving honor and glory to your name. *The Opening Hymn#263 Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise (Presby Hymnal) (Ushers will collect prayer requests. We are not the disciples you call us to be. Too often, we are deaf to the needs of our neighbor. Too often, we are blind to your presence among us. Forgive us, Lord. Cleanse us and transform us, so that we may follow in the way of Christ with courage, compassion and commitment. *The people will rise in body or spirit

And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. The Prayers of the People and Lord s Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. The Offertory Invitation God works through our gifts, our offerings, and our lives to transform our hungry and hurting world. May we respond to God with open hands and obedient spirits. Let us bring before the Lord our tithes and offerings. Please sign and pass the Friendship Registers located near the center aisle. Thank you! Birthdays This Week February 7 Anzie Kelley February 9 Gladys Beaver February 12 Maddie McGraw New Adult Ed Series on Gardening and the Care of the Soul For many, gardening is not only good exercise and a way to have fresh flowers and vegetables, it is also a spiritual experience. Dealing with sin, struggling with life's priorities, building Christian character, and the miracle of the resurrection are but a few of the biblical truths that unfold to us in gardening. With good reason Martin Luther wrote, "God is entirely and personally in the garden, and in the field." Next Sunday, February 14, we will begin a new series on gardening and our spiritual lives. Join us as we discover what the practice of gardening can teach about the care and nurture of our souls. The study will be led by Rev. Carl Baughman. In addition to being a counselor and ordained minister, Carl is an avid gardener and has completed the Master Gardener Program through Penn State. We meet on Sunday mornings at 9:15 in the church library. Grab a cup of coffee and come prepared to grow! Contribution Statements Contribution Statements were mailed on Tuesday, January 26, 2016. If you have any questions about your Statement of Giving for 2015, please don t hesitate to call the church office at 724-287-4777. Thank you! Per Capita is Due in February Per Capita is an allotment that Saint Andrews owes the Beaver-Butler Presbytery for each active member on our rolls. This money is used at the Presbytery, Synod, and General Assembly levels to pay operating expenses salaries, utilities, supplies, etc. This year, the rate is $40.00 per member. If you wish to pay your portion of our per capita, you may use the envelope marked Denominational Apportionment 2016. You may also simply mark per capita on the memo line of a check made out to Saint Andrews. Thank you.

Midweek Lenten Services This Lent, Saint Andrews is joining with a number of downtown churches for a series of midweek worship services.
