Heart's ministry is collecting supplies to make blessing bags for the homeless. These items include such things as pocket Bibles, travel shampoos, conditioners, soap, and other necessities. A green bin is located under the mailboxes in the hallway behind the sanctuary and in the narthex. A list of other items are located on the flyer at these collection bins. If you have questions about this new outreach, email Julie Love at jaxandcb@yahoo.com. Called To Be His Hands UMW Praise & Worship Gathering August 12th, 3:00-5:00 pm Have you ever heard God speak to you? Did you resist and run the other way, or did you say "Yes Lord"? Our speaker at the 3rd quarter Praise and Worship Gathering is Anita Rinaldo, and when she heard God's voice, she answered "Yes Lord". Four years ago Anita, her husband and their four children moved to Kazakhstan to share God's love with others. Anita will tell us about her ministry and how God continues to impact her life. A traditional Central Asian tea will also be served. Some of you may remember Anita when she attended Cold Springs with her parents (W.B. and Judy Allmon). Please join us on August 12th to hear how God is working through one of our local daughters across the world. If you plan to join us, please make a note on the back of the attendance sheet in the bulletin. Our mission project for this meeting will support Anita's church. The ladies in her Kazakhstan church have a sewing program that supports a local orphanage. They sew cotton blankets (similar to quilting) for infants through teens. They can use monetary donations or cotton material of any size. Cotton material is needed for girls and boys (but especially boys) that will be sewn together for a blanket. Please prayerfully consider your donation to support this mission. Tuesday Night Ladies' Bible Study Begins Tuesday August 21 at 6:30 pm The Tuesday Night Ladies' Bible Study will begin a new 10 week Bible Study on The Patriarchs: Encountering the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob by Beth Moore. During the 10 weeks, participants will study the heart of Genesis 12-50. We will discover God's pursuit of a relationship with man and marvel as His plan to bless all people unfolds. Many of the most profound and enduring concepts in the whole counsel of God s Word are initiated in this marvelous book of beginnings. In addition, we explore concepts such as blessing, covenant, and promise, and the bearing each has on a New Testament believer s life today. Please listen for God's voice as he guides you on your faith journey. If you are led to join us, please indicate your interest on the attendance insert in the bulletin by August 12th. Cost of the Study Book will be approximately $18.00. Please see Judy Allmon or Lynne Helms if you have questions.
