Speaking from first hand experience and with great candor, Lion Ron Hudson admitted discovering he had Adult Attention Deficit Disorder saved his marriage and his life. The condition stems from a chemical imbalance in the brain caused by heredity or from a head trauma; the results are the same. Some of the symptoms are forgetfulness, tardiness, impatient, short temper, being unorganized and a general lack of concentration. The good news is that it can be treated. It is very important that you seek a physician specialized in Adult A.D.D. says Ron. Wife, 1st District Governor, Kathy, said the treatments are life changing. We are so grateful to Ron for stepping out and educating the public about Adult Attention Deficit Disorder. A Farewell Message from President Joyce Sutay I can't believe almost one year has flown by! What a great experience full of challenges and fun. I can't thank all of you enough for trusting me to have served as your President. More than anything I have an overwhelming gratitude for every single Lion I have been blessed to know. The amount of time given to community by our "Lion family" is unbelievable. This year out of the 41 clubs in our district we distinguished ourselves by logging the MOST hours!!! Kudos ladies!!! Membership shot up over 20% this year, giving way to new ideas and events like Idol, Lighted Parade, Mimis Fundraiser, Glass Collecting Competition and the Rudy Award. Just think what the future has in store for us! Although I've only been in this new "family" a relatively short time, I will certainly miss you all. Within the next year Bob and I hope to return to Tucson to retire so unless you plan a trip out to Arizona, emails will have to do. I know Paulette will be an absolutely phenomenal President, so I know you will be in good hands. Again thank you for all you have done to help me be your President. xo Joyce
