Conference Speakers Minister Wilbert Dewayne Harris Minister Wilbert Dewayne Harris has been an ordained minister at the Greater Pure Light Church under the leadership of Pastor Darryl Broussard for over 7 years. Prior to accepting his calling to the ministry, he served as a deacon for over 12 years (First Morning Star Baptist Church and Greater Pure Light Church). Min. Harris has a passion for the people of God and longs to see spiritual relationships experiencing positive growth. He realized at an early age that he was anointed by God to be different. He was a part of singing groups and choirs and traveled country singing about the goodness of our Lord. He currently serves as a Ministry Overseer at the Greater Pure Light Church. In this capacity he ensures the success of Counselors for Christ, Greeters/Hospitality, Sick and Bereaved, Worship and Arts, Youth and Young Adults, and also the Singles Ministry. He is the Superintendent/ Ministry Leader of a very vibrant Sunday School. He challenges every teacher to explore urface of each lesson and unfold the mysteries of God s Word. He is also a worship leader on the praise team and serves as Worship Director for the Greater Pure Light Contemporary Worship Service. Minister Harris is also the leader of Impact Sunday each second Sunday and gives a thunderous Word of the Day that consistently sets the atmosphere for worship. He works very close with his Pastor to assist him when necessary to ensure the success of the ministry at the Greater Pure Light Church. He is the father of two (Trevion and Kennedy) and enjoys family time. He is a lover of music, basketball, and football. He has served as MC for events across the city of Houston. His favorite scripture is James 1:2-3 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. He is currently attending Grace School of Theology pursuing a degree in Biblical Studies and hopes to someday participate in missions around the world. Brittany Burnette Brittany Burnette serves as an Assistant Professor of Christian Education and the Distance Education Director of Faculty and Curriculum Development at the College of Biblical Studies - Houston. She served as the Academic Dean and Headmaster of Plano Christian Academy, where she taught Latin, political philosophy, Church History, Biblical Studies, and rhetoric. She is a co-editor of A Reader s Lexicon of the Apostolic Fathers with Dr. Daniel B. Wallace and Terri Moore (2013). She also served as a research assistant to Dr. Darrell Bock for: Jesus According to Scripture (2002), Jesus in Context (2005), The Missing Gospels (2006), and The Baker Exegetical Commentary on Acts (2007). She holds a B.A. in Religious Studies from Yale University, a Th.M. in New Testament Studies and Systematic Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, and a D.Min. in Christian Education from Dallas Seminary. Dr. Burnette lived in Seoul, Korea for two years, where she earned her black belt in Tae Kwon Do. She is a rabid tennis fan and an unapologetic caffeine addict.
Conference Panel Vladimir Eugene Reverend Vladimir Eugene was born and raised in South Florida to Haitian-born parents. His Father has been in ministry for over 40 years. Vlad received the call to ministry while living in New York for about a year, and has been preaching for the past 9 years. He is currently finishing his Biblical Studies degree at College of Biblical Studies. Vlad has been single for the past 3 years. Stephen J. Graves - Panel Facilitator Reverend Stephen J. Graves is a graduate of the College of Biblical Studies- Houston. He currently serves as resident evangelist at the Good Shepherd Missionary Baptist Church. Since 2001, he has served as president and CEO of the Word on the Street Evangelistic Association, which is a Christian non-profit organization committed to sharing the gospel with non-christians and training Christians to do the same. Panelist will also include our Conference Speakers Attendees will be given the opportunity to write down questions and have their questions addressed in an Open Discussion format
