Bus Trip to Smithsonian s Na onal Museum of African American History and Culture Asbury UMC s Church and Society Ministry partnering with Wesley Temple UMC is pleased to announce a bus trip to the Smithsonian s Na onal Museum of African American History and Culture. The date is Monday, March 13th. The bus will depart from Asbury s south parking lot (1401 Camden Ave, Salisbury, MD) at 11:30 am for 3:00 pm arrival at the Museum. The cost of the trip is $35 per person and is an a first come first served basis. Please contact the church office (410 749 2131) to secure your spot. Payment is required in full. There will be a restaurant stop on our return trip to Salisbury where you may purchase dinner (not included in the $35 fee). YOUNG ADULT SUMMIT 2017 When: Friday, April 7 - Sunday, April 9, 2017. Where: Atlantic UMC 105 Fourth Street Ocean City, MD Join us for our Annual Young Adult Summit This year we are blessed to have as our featured preacher and workshop leader Rev. Akil Dickens, Senior Minister to Youth at Ebenezer AME in Ft. Washington, MD. Rev. Dickens will be preaching on Friday evening as well as leading our summit theme workshop "Loving Out Loud" affectionately know as #LOL. Our other guests are: Chelsea Spyres, Director of Christian Formation at St. Matthew s UMC in Bowie, MD. She will lead a workshop on racism entitled "No Matter The Race or How You May Look". Rev. Kelly Conner of Asbury UMC in Salisbury, MD will be preaching on Saturday morning. Carlos Reyes, Coordinator of Hispanic-Latino Ministries at the Peninsula-Delaware Conference. He will open the floor for a panel discussion about the days' topics.
