Announcements Lord s Supper Today we will celebrate the Lord s Supper during the morning service. There will be a retiring offering for benevolence at the end of the service. New Members Class: Doorway Fellowship Our Doorway Fellowship begins today at 10:45 a.m. in room A-268 (on the second floor). This eight week class is a great opportunity for prospective members to connect with Pastor Mike Sproul. Topics from theology to fundamentalist history to church operations and more will be addressed during this class. Sign up at the Welcome Center! Diamondbacks Family Activity Come join the Ignite youth group and enjoy America s favorite pastime with us on Friday, June 15 as we watch the D-backs take on the Mets at Chase Field. Tickets are $20 per person. Contact Pastor Jason McDonnell for details. Men s Prayer Breakfast Our monthly Men s Prayer Breakfast is Saturday, June 16, at 8:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Men, make a point of fellowship, prayer, and developing Biblical goals for your life. Enjoy the breakfast for $3. Invite someone else to come with you! Church Business Meeting A church business meeting will be conducted on Sunday, June 24 at the beginning of the Evening Service (at 5:50 p.m.). The church will vote to approve the budget for the 2018-2019 fiscal year. Members, please plan to attend. Basketball Camp Students from any school in grades 7th 12th are invited to improve their basketball skills by participating in Tri-City Christian Academy s basketball camps that will be held June 11-15! Our coaching staff is committed to developing the entire player. Proper technical and tactical instruction in all aspects of basketball will be provided in individual and team settings. By the end of the week, each participant will learn valuable lessons in athletics, teamwork, friendship, and hard work. Each clinic includes team huddles with a spiritual emphasis, daily personal attention, fundamental training, high level coaching, individual competitions, and a positive training atmosphere. Girls clinic: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Boys clinic: 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Ignite In-House All Nighter Announcements Summer Enrichment During the summer break, Tri-City Baptist Church offers Summer Enrichment, a 10-week day camp full of fun and educational activities such as field trips to the Children s Museum and the Arizona Science Center, Makutu s Island and other destinations. Academic enrichment includes math, reading, spelling, grammar, and computer skills. Summer Enrichment is open to children ages 5-12 from May 29 till August 3. Register online now at www.tricityministries.org. Teens, join us for our annual all-nighter on June 15! We will be at church from 10:00 p.m. 6:00 a.m. We will have games, food, fellowship, and lots of fun. The cost is $5 and includes pizza and breakfast. And bring a friend! Remember, as we begin to talk about Saul and phony sorrow, what David s legitimate repentance looks like. Take this time to praise the Lord and rejoice in His goodness! Praise his name and share His goodness in your group! Word 1 Samuel 15:13. What is the first characteristic of phony repentance? Why do people who are phony tell only half the story the part that makes them look good? How do you show true repentance when you are wrong? 1 Samuel 15:14-15. What is a great indicator that the person is phony in apology when caught in sin? Why do you think people, when caught in half-truths and disobedience, blame others, rather than taking responsibility? How would you help someone who is blaming others for their own choices? 1 Samuel 15:16-19. What are the reactions from a biblical leader to phony blame shifting? Why do you think people get so upset when a biblical leader follows the biblical commands? How do you respond when you are challenged about your spiritual life?
