Instead they are guideposts that point us in the direction of good living. Accordingly, good living requires loving God and loving one another. We should not follow God s laws out of fear of what might happen if we don t, but rather view them as a foundation for building relationships and trust with one another and with God. Blessed Virgin Mary DIOCESAN COUNCIL OF CATHOLIC WOMEN The Diocese of Corpus Christi Council of Catholic Women will be gathering for its Convention on Saturday, November 10th. The Convention will be held at the Newman Center at Texas A&M University-Kingsville, located at 1457 Retama in Kingsville, TX on the campus of Texas A&M University-Kingsville. Registration for the Convention will be $25.00 which includes breakfast and lunch. Mass will be celebrated during the Convention by the Very Reverend James G. Stembler, Vicar General for the Diocese Of Corpus Christi. The keynote speaker will be Ofelia De Los Santos, the Texas Catholic Daughters of America Spiritual Enhancement Chairperson, and the theme for the Convention is CCDCCS: Missionary Disciples; Mission Possible All women of the Diocese are invited to come to the Convention. Come and join other women from throughout the diocese in celebrating who we are and celebrating our faith in Jesus Christ. TICKETS FOR OUR ANNUAL TURKEY DINNER are on sale. Ask any member of the Altar and Rosary Society or Knights of Columbus for tickets. Turkey dinner with all the trimmings will be Sunday, November 11th. Serving begins at 11 am - 2 pm. $10.00 donation - Dine in or plates to go. ATTENTION CHOIR MEMBERS This week we will start having choir practice twice a week in preparation for the Christmas season. Rehearsals will be Monday s from 7 pm - 8:30 pm and Thursdays from 7 pm - 8:30 pm in the main church. For anyone interested in joining the choir! We will have auditions for both singers and instrumentalists on choir rehearsal nights starting on Monday, November 5th at 7 pm in the main church for anyone that has been thinking about joining but has yet to do so. So if you are interested, just show up!
