ROOTED takes you on a 10-week journey through Christianity s foundational elements such as: knowing God, prayer, the Bible, overcoming strongholds, serving, generosity, evangelism and more. It s not just for new believers, or new members, it s for anyone! If you are looking for a way to grow deeper in your faith and connect with others, then ROOTED is for you! You will need to attend at least 8 of the 10 lessons and all 3 special events (prayer, serving, & celebration) of this experience. What is your next step? Page 19 A Have you been water baptized? Maybe you have wondered why it is such a big deal? Maybe you were baptized as an infant and have wondered why you need to be baptized again? The Bible teaches us to be water baptized after we have personally made the decision to follow Jesus and invite Him into our lives. Jesus was dedicated in the temple as an infant and then water baptized as an adult. Why? To set the example for us. To make it clear how we were to follow Him. Water baptism is like a wedding ring. It s the outward symbol of your commitment to Jesus Christ and a public confession of your faith to your church family. Have you felt the nudge of the Holy Spirit to be water baptized?
