You helped us collect a record $7,501.58. I would like to recognize and thank Store Captains Jim Schmitt, Rich Utt, Ted Salvia, John Harber and cochairman Larry Colonna, as well as Church Captain Bob Hoelscher, all of whom put in countless hours in addition to collecting. Storefront stats: Brothers Roger Ranek and Tom Trog topped the list of volunteer hours for non-captains at 8 hours each. Vince Daus and Paul Mallery both worked 6 hours each. Others who went beyond the call of duty by working more than the requested 2 hours include Dale Husenica, Bill and Kathy Strake, Dave Aubuchon, Ernie Doorack, Gene Bestgen, Jeff Marlow, Jim Chappuis, Jim Rolwes, Jon Nienas, Vince Vogelgesang, and Bob Walker. In addition to the 22 individuals listed above, 51 more worked a 2 hour shift and several donated cash. A huge thank you to all! In all, 212 hours were worked, compared to 192 hours last year, and this is not counting hours spent by the captains, which are not measurable. 18 of those hours were by ladies, many who are members of the Ladies Auxiliary, so our sincere gratitude goes out to them. Another 8 hours were volunteers from Serve St Louis, and 2 hours were worked by Kat Forder from St Gemma Center. The above hours and number of workers do not include those that collected after Masses during the weekend, mainly because the shifts are only about 15 minutes. But those are the most profitable 15 minutes of the weekend. Thank you to all who helped Bob Hoelscher by volunteering after Mass.
