Dear Parents, Children and Friends, A Prayer for Fathers Our Dads God took the strength of a mountain, The majesty of a tree, The warmth of a summer sun, The calm of a quiet sea, The generous soul of nature, The comforting arm of night, The wisdom of the ages, The power of the eagle's flight, The joy of a morning in spring, The faith of a mustard seed, The patience of eternity, The depth of a family need, Then God combined these qualities, When there was nothing more to add, He knew His masterpiece was complete, And so, He called it... Please remember to send in your RSVP by Wednesday. Fathers Day Stall Tomorrow, the P&F will hold their annual Fathers Day Stall after recess. The stall is a favourite amongst the children every year as they go to great pains to fastidiously choose a gift worthy of their dad. I would like to thank the P&F for organising this stall for the children. I know there will be many happy dads when they are presented with their gift on Fathers Day. CURRICULUM NEWS RELIGIOUS EDUCATION OPEN NIGHT Our annual Open Night will take place on Wednesday 23 September from 5.00-6.30pm. This is always an exciting event as it provides another opportunity for students to share their work and learning from the term. Students are already excited about the opportunity to share their work with you. Students will share work samples from each learning area, in both a process (interactive activity) and product (final piece of work) form. While our classrooms are always open to parents, this night acts as an official showcase of student work samples and an opportunity to share progress with parents. The Open Night will coincide with our P&F Photo Competition and Art Night. We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday 23 September! IPAD PARENT AND STUDENT WORKSHOP Our next ipad workshop for parents and students from Pre Primary to Year Six will take place in the Wittenoom Library tomorrow, Wednesday 2nd September from 5.30-6.30pm. The purpose of this workshop is to provide parents with support and a greater understanding of how ipads are used in classrooms across the school as a creative learning tool. Parents are invited to bring their child along to the workshop, in order to collaborate when creating. Please register your attendance online at our EventBrite page, which can be accessed via the link or QR code below.
