Lake Arrowhead Christian School 2 Building the Character of Christ in Students since 1978 The following is the process to enroll at Lake Arrowhead Christian School: 1. Complete Application Forms for Admission. All forms must be submitted before processing begins. 2. Principal Interview. The principal will review your completed file. You will be contacted by the office to schedule an interview. Following the interview, you will be notified regarding acceptance or denial. 4. Enrollment. Payment of the enrollment fees and selection of a tuition plan complete the enrollment. If tuition is not paid in full, you will need to sign up with SMART Tuition, our tuition collection agency. WELCOME FROM LACS Greetings, Welcome to the body of believers of Lake Arrowhead Christian School. Lake Arrowhead Christian School is an extension of parents' Biblical and God-given authority. The Bible does not say, "There shall be Christian schools.' However, it does say to bring up our children in the training and instruction of the Lord. (Eph. 6:4) LACS is here to help do that. Children are treasures - special gifts from God that should be nurtured and educated so that they will be prepared to answer the call that God puts in their lives. Our goal is to have harmony between what is taught in our homes, in our churches, and in our school. Our students are expected to show respect for God, for their parents, for teachers and others in authority, for other students, and to use their time and abilities wisely. We pray that by working together, our students will grow as Jesus did."...in wisdom, and stature and in favor with God and man" (Luke 2:52) and that they will become, "...living sacrifices, holy, acceptable unto God..." (Romans 12:1) Yours In Christ, LACS Faculty, Staff and Board

3 What We Believe Lake Arrowhead Christian School is a body of believers who have joined together for the purpose of spiritual and academic excellence in building up students in the character of Christ. Together we seek to honor Him by integrating faith and learning, while our hearts and lives reflect the process of maturing in Christ. When families join Lake Arrowhead Christian School, they freely and willingly choose to take upon themselves the responsibilities outlined in this application. We believe the Bible to be inspired, infallible, the authoritative Word of God. (II Timothy 3:16) We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons; The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1, Matthew 28:19, John 10:30) We believe in the deity of Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His resurrection from the dead, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return to the earth in power and glory. (Matthew 1:23, Hebrews 4:15, John 2:11 Ephesians 1:7, John 11:25, Mark 16:19) We believe in the necessity of salvation by grace through faith because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature. (John 3:16-19, 5:24, Romans 3:23, 5:5-9, Ephesians 2:8-10) We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. (John 5:28-29) We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in Christ. (Romans 8:9, I Corinthians 12:12-13, Galatians 3:26-28) Our supreme desire is to know Christ and to be conformed into His image by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 8:13-14, I Corinthians 3:16, 6:19-20, Ephesians 4:30, 5:18) We agree with the above statement of faith. Father s or Guardian s Signature Mother s Signature Date Date

4 Parental Support Commitment Form Admission and continued enrollment in a private Christian school is a privilege not a right. The school administration and the school board have authority over enrollment, spiritual direction, academic requirements, dress code, athletics, and all other facets of the school. Admission and continued enrollment are dependent on the students and parents acknowledging and accepting the authority of the administration and the board. Romans 13:1 states, Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. Matthew 18:15 instructs us that if we have been wronged by someone we are to go directly to them to talk about the problem. Thus, if you have a problem within the school, you need to go to the staff member, teacher, or administrator involved. Discussing problems with other parents or students in the school, without first talking to the school personnel involved, is not the proper action and is not working under the authority of the administration and board. Christian education involves the whole person; therefore, it is desirable that all elements that bear on the education of a child be consistent and properly reinforce one another. Lake Arrowhead Christian School was established to educate the children of Christian parents. This school seeks to foster an environment that will challenge every student to consider his/her personal response to Jesus Christ. However, this school does not replace the training of either home or the church. All three should be in Biblical agreement for a well-rounded Christian education. We, the parents of, have read this entire form, agree with it, and understand that continued enrollment is dependent upon our support: 1. We recognize the school as an extension of our God-given authority as parents. We expect our children to behave well in school and will be supportive of the school in its disciplining of our children. We agree further that we will cooperate and discipline our children at home as needed. Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6) 2. We pledge our fullest cooperation to keep controversy and denominationalism out of the school at all times. Make every effort to keep unity of the spirit through the bond of peace. (Ephesians 4:3) (Over)

5. Parental Support Commitment Form Continued 3. We agree that if our child should become involved in any trouble with other students in the school, we will in no case complain to any parent, but in the love of Christ and with prayer, register our complaints with the teacher or principal. 4. We agree that the school has full discretion for grade placement and teacher assignment for our child. 5. We understand that assessments will be made to cover damage to school property caused by our son or daughter. 6. We commit to pray for Lake Arrowhead Christian School students and to be supportive of the school board, administration, faculty, and staff. 7. We recognize that private education is in need of strong parental support, including participation in events, fundraising, and activities throughout the school year.
