Debra went to be with the Lord December 25, 1995, as a result of a head-on collision north of Vicksburg, Ms. Married Elaine Wendy Emerson of Metairie, La., April 17, 1999. Our marriage, too, has been blessed with the addition of our granddaughter Hannah Elizabeth Dowdy, July 20, 2001. She is the daughter of Nelda and Travis Dowdy. Elaine has been a valuable asset to the ministry, too. She was co-director of the storefront ministry at Newellton, and visitation ministries at both churches. CHURCH MINISTRIES AND COMMUNITY SERVICE Chalmette: Assisted in launching Here s Hope radio ministries through First Baptist Church of Chalmette; 1991-1993 broadcasting in St. Bernard, Orleans, and St. Tammany parishes and Monroe, Louisiana. Assisted in launching Here s Hope, a television ministry of the First Baptist Church of Chalmette (1991-1997). This was a cable television ministry having, at one point, a potential viewing audience of 2.5 million. Assisted in expanding the outreach capabilities and restructuring the artistic design and layout of, The Messenger, a monthly publication of First Baptist Church, Chalmette, Louisiana. Organized two First Place groups, a Southern Baptist Convention Christian Health Maintenance Strategy, for members of First Baptist, Chalmette and members of the St. Bernard Communities where the church ministers.

Boswell, III Page 3 Assisted in implementing Christ Care, a Sunday School Strategy for the First Baptist Church of Chalmette while serving as Minister of Education, resulting in 180+ new enrollees in the Sunday School of the church. As Minister of Music, established two new performance groups, men s quartet and ladies sextet, in addition to the four groups that were already in place. Adult choir performed A Christmas Fantasy, Alleluia and I Believe in America, an Independence Day musical. Newellton: We expanded the food ministry of First Baptist Church, Newellton, La., to a full-fledged storefront type ministry called God s Mission Center. This ministry consists of a clothing ministry, food ministry, and chapel services. There are plans for literacy classes, Bible classes, counseling ministry, and a black or byracial mission church. I led the church to purchase a building for this purpose. In the first two years of the ministry, our church at Newellton, gave over $42,000 to missions. All of this was given back to our church toward the purchase of the building for God s Mission Center. The youth program expanded from a handful of youth to fifty youth on a regular basis. The choir program grew from one choir to six. I was chairman of the board of the Tensas Parish Council on Aging, from April 1999 through April 2000. I was elected to serve a second term from April, 2000 through August, 2001. I was a columnist with the Tensas Gazette, The Pastor s Corner, and did so for the three years that I was in Newellton. Laurel Lea: Formed Tabernacle of David, a 24-hour prayer ministry of praise, thanksgiving, petitioning, and worship. Established, along with the Association, the Mid-City Baptist Church, a mission of Laurel Lea Baptist Church. Lanier: I assist with visitation of home bound and nursing home residents. I assist with prospective visitation. I am in charge of the outreach ministry to the mentally ill and chemically dependant. I have assisted with television ministry.
