2 LEADING THE CHARGE! A Message from Pastor Bob Some Things Must Be Shared A Mercedes-Benz TV commercial shows one of their cars colliding with a concrete wall during a safety test. Someone then asks a Mercedes engineer why their company does not enforce their patent on their car's energy-absorbing car body. The Mercedes' design has been copied by almost every other car maker in the world; in spite of the fact that, they have an exclusive patent. The engineer replies in a clipped German accent, "Because in life, some things are just too important not to share." Wow! What a great statement. Some things are just too important not to share. As Christians, we believe that the Good News of Jesus Christ is one of those things that is too important not to share. No, that is an understatement. We believe that Jesus Christ MUST be shared with our friends, our neighbors, and the world. The work of sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ, we call evangelism. The Christian faith has been advanced through the ages by people - those who spread the Good News of Jesus Christ, and those who are willing to take upon themselves the responsibility of being evangelists. Collectively, we in the Greenfield Charge have taken upon ourselves the responsibility of being evangelists with the installation of the Video Recording System at Grace. We now have the ability to record our Services at Grace and provide these Services to our shut-ins and to those that may have missed a Service. In addition, we will make these Services available to the general public and especially to young Internet people on our Web Site and on YouTube. We will also put our Services on Thumb Drives and distribute them in our evangelistic ministry. I am excited about the possibilities many that we are just beginning to explore. I encourage your feedback and suggestions to make our ministry successful in sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ. The Great Commission Matthew 28:18-20 NKJV And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen. 2

3 Friends and Family of Jesus Do you count yourself as a Friend and/or Family of Jesus? What characteristics make up a Friend of Jesus? Do you possess any of these traits or qualities? The Bible Study group, this year, will attempt to go in-depth and explore the people who made up the inner and outer circles of Jesus. The New Testament Bible characters have much to tell us about how they saw Jesus. We will then proceed to reflect on how today, we see Jesus. Everyone is welcome. Feel free to attend in any or all gatherings. Each session is pretty much independent of the others. In the next class, we will add additional scents and work in various outside locations. No bomb scents. Team Members: Jeanne Mowry Robin Pozgar Wendy Farber Pastor Bob Make-A-Wish of Greater PA and WV sent the Charge a thank-you for the donation of $160 which was collected at Christmas Eve Service. The donation was used to help a young girl by the name of Megan who has been battling Ewing s sarcoma for over a year. Megan wished for a stress-free, fun-filled shopping spree with her parents and sisters, and two best friends. Megan loved being the center of attention as she arrived at the mall in style. She exited the shiny limousine and felt like a movie star! The store clerks were expecting her and welcomed her with balloons and banners, and in one particular store, a specially-decorated dressing room. At one point, Megan commented to her mother that she couldn t recall a time in my whole life when I was so happy! Thank you for your support of the Make-A-Wish mission and for helping Megan on her life s journey. 12
