1 2018 Sacramento Victory Campaign Living in the Overflow Pastor George Pearsons A. John 10:10 (AMPC) The thief comes only in order to steal, kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows). Too many people are struggling financially just to get by. They are just surviving instead of thriving. Some are living paycheck to paycheck. They have to decide which bills can t be paid this month. They have no reserve in their savings account. They don t even have a savings account. As the saying goes, There seems to be too much month at the end of the money. While preparing this message, I found this country song: There s Too Much Month (At the End of the Money) I paid the bank note, the car note, an yes, I paid the phone bill too. An then I turned around an I found that the house note s due. Well, I d love to take you out like I said I would, honey. But there s too much month at the end of the money. Well, I got a little favor I wanna ask of you, my love. Why don t you find that hole in my pocket an sew it up? Yea, I thought I d saved some, but you know it s funny. There s too much month at the end of the money. All gone, oh heaven only knows. All gone, oh where on earth it goes. But it sure goes. Well, sometimes I think it blows away. I went down to the bank this morning bout half past nine. Well, I was lookin for a little somethin in the credit line. But the man said, Look, what we got here, Sonny. There s too much month at the end of the money. 1

2 I d love to take you out like I said I would, honey. But there s too much month at the end of the money. Too much month at the end of the money. This is NOT the song any of us should be singing. Why is that? Because we are children of the King. We are heirs of God and joint heirs with Jesus. We belong to THE ROYAL FAMILY. We have a covenant of provision with God. The LORD is increasing us more and more, us and our children. Instead, we should be living in the overflow. What does living in the overflow mean? It means you have enough to pay tithes, offerings and bills with a whole lot left over. We should have more than enough. How do we get to that point? We have to renew our minds to a world of abundance we ve never know before. First, we cannot limit the Holy One of Israel. Our God is not the God of not enough. Our God is not even the God of just enough. Our God is the God of More Than Enough. Our God is a Too Much God. Our God supplies more than enough. Our God is an Overflow God. We need to change the lyrics of that country song from There s too much month at the end of the money. to... There s more than enough at the end of my month. Say, It is God s will for me to live in the overflow. Say, It is God s will for me to have more than enough, with much left over. Say, There s more than enough at the end of my month. 2

3 B. Galatians 3:13 The Curse of Never Enough 1. Verse 13 (AMPC): Christ purchased our freedom [redeeming us] from the curse (doom) of the Law [and its condemnation] by [Himself] becoming a curse for us, for it is written [in the Scriptures], Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree (is crucified). 2. The threefold curse of the Law: a. Spiritual death b. Sickness and disease c. Poverty, lack and debt 3. The curse is a declaration that dooms someone to poverty. a. Never enough b. Always deficient c. Inadequate supply d. Insufficient funds 4. Deuteronomy 28:29 (AMPC): You shall not prosper in your ways. 5. We have been delivered from the curse of never enough. C. Galatians 3:14 THE BLESSING of More Than Enough 1. Verse 14 (NIV): He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit. 2. The threefold BLESSING of Abraham: a. Spiritual life b. Healing and divine health c. Prosperity, abundant provision and overflow 3. Genesis 1:28: And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, multiply (increase) and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over...every living thing. a. These were the first words ever spoken to man that empowered him to spread the Garden of Eden. b. THE BLESSING equipped him with all the divine resources needed to carry on the work God began at Creation. 4. Proverbs 10:22: The blessing of The LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it. 5. We have been delivered from the curse of never enough and we are living in THE BLESSING of more than enough the overflow. D. Deuteronomy 28:1-14 THE BLESSING of Abraham is All About Living in the Overflow 3

4 E. Deuteronomy 28:8 A Land Overflowing 1. Verse 8: The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which The LORD thy God giveth thee. 2. Deuteronomy 8:7-10: A good land 3. Deuteronomy 6:10-11: Houses full 4. Deuteronomy 6:3: A land flowing with milk and honey 5. Numbers 14:7: And they spake unto all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land. F. Deuteronomy 28:11 A Surplus of Prosperity 1. Verse 11: The LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods. 2. Plenty = A more-than-adequate supply a. (MSG) God will lavish you with good things. b. (MEV) The LORD will make you overflow in prosperity. 3. Overflow is an uncontainable surplus. 4. Verse 11 (AMPC): The LORD shall make you have a surplus of prosperity. a. A surplus is more than what is needed. b. Surplus = Excess, extra, left over, overflow, plenty 5. Philippians 4:19 (Rick Renner Translation): My God will supply Your needs so completely that He will eliminate all your deficiencies; He will meet all your physical and tangible needs until you are so full you have no more capacity to hold anything else. He will supply all your needs until you are totally filled, packed full and overflowing to the point of bursting at the seams and spilling over. G. Genesis 41:46-49 Seven Years of Plenty 1. (MSG): Joseph was thirty years old when he went to work for Pharaoh the king of Egypt. As soon as Joseph left Pharaoh's presence, he began his work in Egypt. During the next seven years of plenty the land produced bumper crops. Joseph gathered up the food of the seven good years in Egypt and stored the food in cities. In each city he stockpiled surplus from the surrounding fields. Joseph collected so much grain it was like the sand of the ocean! that he finally quit keeping track. 2. It was an overflow harvest. 3. He was blessed beyond measure. 4. There was no way to count it or contain it. 5. The word from The LORD: Believe for seven years of plenty. 4

5 H. Overflow Confession 1. I am living in the overflow. 2. It is a land overflowing with the goodness of God. 3. I have a surplus of prosperity. 4. I have more than enough. 5. My storehouses are full and overflowing. 6. I am furnished in abundance. 7. I receive multiple streams of income. 8. The LORD is increasing me more and more. 9. My cup is running over. 10. I am blessed beyond measure! I BELIEVE I RECEIVE SEVEN YEARS OF PLENTY! 5
