2 2 AFTER THE PROBUS MEETING After the Probus Meeting a number of people have been meeting at Kelsey s for lunch. All are welcome. We will put a sign-up sheet downstairs during coffee break in order to give Kelsey s a heads up on numbers. If you re hungry come along. MEMBERSHIP REPORT Betsy Rothwell - Membership Chair We had 73 members at the April meeting. We also have two new members of the club. They are a couple, Greg Peterson and Patricia Draper and are friends of Susan Magee. We have 185 members at present. If you have friends who would like to join Probus, we have 15 openings, so this is a good time to apply. The application form is on the Probus of Huntsville website - under the Contact Us tab. Please don t forget to look for the red dot on name tags of our new members, and take a moment to introduce you and welcome them to our club. Management Committee members will have a green dot on their badge. Badges for new members can be picked up from the desk at the door. Please remember to wear your name tag. If you keep it in the glove box of your car you will always have it handy. CARE BEAR REPORT Margaret Masterson Reporter A get well card was sent out to Bob Hutcheson. A sympathy card was sent to Ellen Staig. If you have any information (such as operations, death of close family members or even the birth of grandchildren), please let me know. I would appreciate hearing from you and I will send a card on everyone s behalf. (Separate cheques for each event). We cannot accept post- dated cheques. We will reimburse money paid for an event due to cancellation by the member to the extent that there is no cost to the club. We encourage members to organize events (such as lunches, trips, etc.), but due to insurance reasons all events must be cleared through the events chair(s) and approved by the Management Team before members can be contacted or tickets can be sold at meetings. Members organizing events may contact John McCaig at with details of the luncheon /event and he will print the tickets for you if you wish. Please allow 14 days prior to required date. Probus Huntsville Web Site and Newsletter Over the next few months you will see some changes to the newsletter. We are hoping to include pictures of events and other information of interest to our members. Ultimately the newsletter will migrate to our website.
