4 Coming Events & Notices THIS WEEK TODAY! Pitch-in Lunch Today, after second service, we ll hold a pitch-in lunch in the basement to celebrate Randy s Installation as our senior pastor. Bring family, friends and a favorite dish to share, and come help us celebrate! Piano Concert The Madison Performing Arts Foundation is pleased to present Yvonna Davis and Dr. Starla Raley and others in an An Evening with George Gershwin on two grand pianos at 7p on Friday, September 21st, at Madison Presbyterian Church. The concert is free and the public is warmly invited to attend. COMING SOON Family Worship We ll be having a family worship in both services on Sunday, September 30th. Kelly Rector will be speaking. 5 Opportunities GIVING & SERVING OPPORTUNITIES Funeral Dinner Help We will be holding a funeral dinner for the David Lee family on Tuesday, September 18th, in the basement. Anyone interested in helping provide food and/or helping prepare, serve, or clean up after the dinner, please contact Emogene Carter at Newsletter Deadline If you re involved in a ministry with First Baptist, you can encourage our church family by sharing a brief activity update, photos, and/or a story for our newsletter to india@madisonfbc.org. Submissions for next month s newsletter due Thursday, September 20th. Deaconess Team Our deaconess team is looking for women of all ages to join their team. If you re interested in visiting our shut-ins, encouraging our college students, helping with baptisms, communion and serving our congregation, this is the place for you! To join the team, please contact Beth Skirvin at Edna Martin Center Pantry Drive We re collecting items for the supply pantry at the Edna Martin Christian Center in Indianapolis. Items needed include canned goods, paper products, and toiletries. A box will be available in the lower auditorium for dropping off donations through October 21. House of Hope We re collecting items for the House of Hope food pantry on an ongoing basis. Needs include boxes or bags of cereal, canned fruits vegetables soups meats and canned meals, pastas of all kinds and spaghetti sauce, and toilet paper and other personal hygiene items. Please avoid donating economy sizes. To donate, drop off items in the lower auditorium. Jefferson House We re collecting items for the Jefferson House, a local inhouse rehab program for men with alcohol and drug addictions. They especially need paper towels, toilet paper, and cleaning supplies. Items can be dropped off in the lower auditorium. (Please label donations Jefferson House so we know what ministry you are donating to.) Bulletin announcements are due the Thursday before the Sunday you d like it printed. Guidelines for writing one are available outside our office.
