He made a way for all of you to be here, which was a divine appointment. As Brother Tommy from my church would say at the appointed time! We all should agree that gving all of the honor and glory to our Heavenly Father and work ethic and integrity are the main source for this conference. Theme: Positioning Ourselves for the Future: Spirit, Mind and Body John 15:15 Henceforth, I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. The Dallas president Cheryl Whittington is a divine example of God s Miracle; Brother Lorenzo Henry is truly an example of divine appointment. He followed the directions of Jesus! Brother Lorenzo took on the responsibility of this Conference with the intact committee (God s Workers) Sister Jeri Hollins a woman of God very diligent Monday We spend the day preparing for the conference, last minutes items and fellowshipping. 2 P AGE 2 V OLUME 8 ISSUES 2 SPECIAL Truly A Blessing Tuesday We had an interesting and productive national board meeting the outcome was new officers, revised bylaws, enhanced goals and objectives. We reaffirmed and recognized that we must be a blessing to others as God has been a blessing to CFIRE. I realized that hoarding which means to keep private, but giving means to be generous and is a blessing and a favor to God. Amen Wednesday Morning Glory, Brother James Poulson was used by the Holy Spirit! Praise God! Sister Leona Bostick s used her gift of music which blessed us all! Awesome! The Lord truly blessed our workshops and the Holy Spirit set the tone for our conference. The presenter s lessons along with scriptures were all in tune with integrity and hard work. Sister Irene s workshop was Teamwork Share Your Knowledge, and Integrity in the Workplace which continues to be a very important aspect of the workforce. Brother Rich Allen was energetic and enlightening on Leadership in the Workplace. Miss Yolanda Warren was excellent and provided enhancing information on Integrity. She pointed out the dos and the don ts for which we should always know what are the rights and wrongs. Praise and worship was awesome, the Men of Faith were awesome and praises was in the house! The speaker Sister Gemma touched and taught us all on maturity, moving, prayer partners and pruning. She provided an abundant of scriptures to be used as guidelines. Sister Gemma reminded us that we must be pruned to be fruitful in others words get rid of rotten baggage. I hope you all took notes as I did. Praise the Lord! Caption describing picture or graphic. 3 CFIRE N EWSLETTER P AGE 3 More Sharing Thursday Morning Glory, Brother Victor Coleman was used by the Holy Spirit! Praise God! Sister Leona Bostick s used her gift of music which blessed us all! Awesome! The executive panel (Dave Horton and Dora Trevino) was awesome, very educating, motivating, inspiring and very truly. The executives provided us with some realistic goals and future plans of the Internal Revenue Service. Dave gave an indepth presentation on the survey of Balance Measurement System. The aim was to ensure that the measure effective and satisfying. Brother Bernard Blackmon was dynamic and amazing as always, his workshop was the five elements of success, witness, wardrobe, cadence, course and coach. Brother Bernard reminded us to be Christian-like and professional at all times. The highlights were your dress attire and daily attitudes. Brother James Poulson was great and motivating, his workshop was on Conflict Management, and he identified constructive ways of coping and dealings with this issue. Brother James reminded us to be composed and Christ-Like. Brother Victor Coleman was energetic on the workshop Marriage Matters: Surviving a spiritual mismatch. Finally pray daily, utilize the Holy Bible and Daily Devotions to help direct your daily path with the Heavenly Father. Be respectful in the workplace, and put your attitude issues in the garbage disposal and make sure you turn the switch on. Remember we are all women and men of God!
