Very good. Illustrated program for the rodeo and other festivities surrounding Pioneer Day (July 24th), loads of great advertising. "The year 1849 was a year of accomplishment for the Pioneers. Though they were tried by dangers and fears still they toiled and worked to build up their city by the Great Salt Lake. They had achieved much in the two short years they had been in the valley - two years they had been in the valley - two years fraught with hardship and discouragement. It is to their eternal credit that in the face of all their obstacles they continued to 'beat down the desert' which was not to bloom, according to some outsiders. Yes, one hundred years ago this year was indeed a year of accomplishment for these hardy men, women and children. The Days of '47 celebration, under the direction of its capable officers, board and advisors, recalls once again the works and achievements of our early Pioneers." $50

"You will enjoy yourself - have a good time - on one of these tours. They represent a sound, sensible travel plan that is not an experiment in any sense. Experienced railroad officials have arranged the details with the co-operation of the Pullman Company, hotel and major interests, and the National Park Service. The 'escorted tour' idea deserves your consideration in connection with any vacation plan, and especially in case you go alone, these traveling house-parties are ideal, assuring many congenial acquaintances with much in common. You travel without any responsibilities, you see the most, in the best way and with no waste of time." - p. 5 $65
