2 DAN AND VIRGINIA SUDER'S HOME SINCE 2014! BIDLT IN THE CIRCA OF 1869 DURING THE OWNERSHIP OF BENJAMIN AND MARY GLOSS! BAHS DIRECTORS LARRY PRITTS AND RUSSELL HILLEGAS DON PORTER, LEFT, AND RICHARD NORRIS Attending the 2017 annual picnic of the Berlin Area Historical were Don Porter of Iowa and Richard Norris of York, P A. Both were members of the 1960 graduating class of Berlin Brothersvalley High School. Richard joined BARS during the picnic! Don Porter was raised in Macdonaldton while Richard Norris was raised below Glen Savage. It was a joy to see so many special members and guests at the picnic. The BARS picnic committee included Betty Chaney, C. Scott Miller, and Gary Estnick. The chicken and all the covered dish food items were delicious. Thank you to all who attended and provided food for the memorable evening and to Dan and Virginia Suder for hosting us!

Bailey - items that also include historical items from the Levi Gloss family. John Long, Bob Schmucker, and Larry Pritts repaired the front porch roof of the Heritage Haus using paint supplied by Megan Evans. Richard Berkley donated mulch and spread it around the front of the barn. We have received donations from Barry W. and Nancy Miller as well as Tom and Leanne Calvert to our endowment fund in memory of Evelyn (Altfather) Engleka. Pamela (Stevanus) Schall donated a series of four genealogy books pertaining to the John Stevanus family. Eloise Long identified 1957 High School photos and donated a camera case. Carrie Glessner donated Glessner genealogy. An anonymous member donated an H. F. Ball Thermometers and advertising pens. A picture of John Edison Lane ( ) was donated by Robert Imhoff. Family genealogy completed by the late Calvin M. Will has been donated by his wife, Mary Elizabeth and his family.

6 OUR HISTORICAL SPRING HOUSE AND CAROL MILLER CAROL AND KEN MILLER HAVE AGAIN CARED FOR THE BEAUTIFUL GARDENS ON THE LAWN IN FRONT OF THE PRING HOU E! DONATIONS FROM BETTY MEYERS Betty Meyers donated a decorated saw that was hand painted by Pauline Blubaugh and a welcome sign on a slate that also has been painted by Pauline Blubaugh. Her donations included several photos from BBHS while she and Kathryn Ludy served as editors of the Bervalon in 1957, a BBHS band letter, a 1967 Johnson & Son Funeral Home calendar, Harry Meyers' 1969 hunting license, a Jean Kimmel tapestry, an old survey of farms that includes Deep Spring farm and a booklet entitled, Early Amish Land Grants in Berks County, Pa.
