DATE/SERVICE LESSONSs STATIONS CRAFTS December 2 December 2 December 5 Felt An Angel Visits Mary FAMILY SUNDAY Angel Station We will have the children take turns making an angel s shadow on the wall with a flashlight while saying the memory verse. We will talk to the children about how an angel appeared to Mary and gave her some surprising news. Treasure Box Station We will have the children take turns pulling out scriptures of different promises from God. We will talk to the children about how Mary agreed with the plan of God for her life. When we agree with God s Word, we can have His promises in our lives. Baby Station We will have the children take turns saying the memory verse while holding a baby. We will talk to the children about how an angel told Mary that she would have a baby boy that will be called the Son of God. Scroll Craft We will make a scroll craft. We will talk about how when we put our faith in God s Word nothing is impossible. (Ms. Shawn) Angel Craft We will make an angel craft. We will talk about how an angel appeared to Mary and told her that she would give birth to a baby boy that will be called the Son of God. December 9 December 9 December 12 Felt Journey to Bethlehem Act Out the Story Follow the Leader Station We will have the children play Follow the Leader with the teacher. We will talk to the children about how Joseph and Mary made a journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem to register for a census. Manger Station We will have the children play with the Little People Nativity Set and say the memory verse. We will talk to the children about how Mary gave birth to Jesus in a stable and placed Him in a manger. Microphone Station We will have the children take turns saying the memory verse with the microphone. We will talk to the children about how an angel told nearby shepherds about the birth of the newborn Savior. We should share the Good News of Jesus with others. Journey to Bethlehem Craft We will make a journey to Bethlehem craft. We will talk about how Joseph and Mary made a long journey to Bethlehem to register for the census while she was pregnant. (Ms. Angelica) Sheep Craft We will make a sheep craft. We will talk about how nearby shepherds were watching over their sheep when an angel appeared and told them about the birth of Christ. (Bro. Tyjahn) Baby Jesus Craft We will make a felt baby Jesus craft. We will talk about how Jesus was called Immanuel which means God is with us. December 16 December 16 December 19 Felt A Baby Is Born CHRISTMAS EVENT Praise Station We will have the children praise God with the instruments. We will talk to the children about how the shepherds went away praising and thanking God for what they saw and heard. Gift Box Station We will have the children take turns guessing which gift box baby Jesus is in. We will talk to the children about how Jesus is God s gift to the World. Jesus came to save the world from their sins. Farm Station We will have the children play with the farm and animals. We will talk to the children about how Mary gave birth to Jesus in a stable with animals in it. Baby Star Ornament Craft We will make a star ornament with baby Jesus glued to it. We will talk about how Mary had a special baby boy and named Him Jesus which means Savior. (Ms. Devyn) Manger Craft We will make a manger craft with popsicle sticks. We will talk about how the angel told the shepherds that they would find the Savior wrapped in cloths lying in a manger. (Bro. December 23 December 23 December 26 Felt Good News About Our Savior NO SERVICE Nativity Matching Station We will have the children play a nativity matching game. We will talk to the children about the story of the birth of Christ and all the different people that played a part in announcing His birth, visiting Him, and blessing Him. Magnifying Glass Station We will have the children take turns using the magnifying glass to look at scriptures in the Bible. We will talk to the children about how the shepherds travelled to Bethlehem to see if what they heard was true. Megaphone Station We will have the children take turns saying the memory verse with the megaphone. We will talk to the children about how a group of angels appeared in the sky praising God. Megaphone Craft We will make a megaphone craft. We will talk about how the shepherds saw a group of angels in the sky praising God. We should praise God for our salvation and all of the good things that He has done for us. (Bro. Josh) Dove Craft We will make a dove craft with the children s handprints. We will talk about how Jesus came to bring love and peace to the world. The dove represents peace. December 30 December 30 December 31 Monday Felt Looking for the Newborn King Act Out the Story Felt Looking for the Newborn King Star Station We will shine a star on the ceiling with a flashlight and have the children follow it. We will talk to the children about how the wise men followed a star to find the place where Jesus was so that they could worship Him. Gifts Station We will have the children take turns bringing gifts to baby Jesus and saying the memory verse. We will talk to the children about how the wise men bowed down and worshipped Jesus and gave Him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Crown Station We will have the children take turns saying the memory verse while wearing the crown. We will talk to the children about how Jesus is the King of kings and His Kingdom has no end.
