1 TCNews... May & June Revive America Revive Us! Moms and dads are concerned about the future for their children. Christians are concerned about the future of their church. We know that something is broken, and that the nation is on the wrong track. And even though we have a change in political administrations, we wonder if America is in the last days of being a great nation. It is a wonderful time to be a Christian and to have a strong faith in God. Because it s when hope seems lost that God parts the waters, and this could be a Red Sea moment for America. REVIVE AMERICA is coming to TCN Sunday evening, May 28th., at 6:00 p.m. Please make plans to attend this wonderful service with Pastor, Speaker and Author Stan Toler, and the Guardian singers. HOW TO PRAY IN MAY: Pray that God s people will demonstrate a spirit of repentance and prayer. (2 Chron. 7:14) Pray that God will raise up righteous leaders who will model integrity and authenticity. (Eph. 4:1-2; Prov. 14:34) Pray that Americans will see their spiritual poverty; that our nation s citizens will awaken to their great spiritual need. (Joel 3:12) Pray that godly men and women will be placed in positions of authority so that God s people can rejoice. (Prov. 29:2) Pray that our elected leaders will be just, fear God rather than men, and depart from evil. (2 Sam. 23:3; Prov. 1:7; 14:26; 16:6) Pray that people will be able to see truth (Ps. 86:11), that error will be exposed, and that people with wicked agendas will be made weak. (Prov. 25:5) Pray for truth in the media. (Prov. 12:22) Pray that Christians will put their confidence in God, rather than any political candidates. (Ps. 118:8-9) Pray that Christians will look to God to overcome the enemies of truth and righteousness. (Ps. 60:11-12) Pray that God will work through leaders to keep the doors open for His Gospel to be proclaimed. (Col. 4:3a) If Christians will get on their knees and repent of our sins, and cry out to God for His mercy for our country, He will hear our prayers and answer them. May 21 Annual Church Elections- 9:00 a.m. 10:30 a.m. & 5:30 6:00 p.m. Graduation Sunday- Our High School graduates will be honored during the morning service & there will be a cake reception in the FLC immediately following the evening service. Our class of 2017 is: Jenna Peffer, Coleman Salyer, Courtney Saunders, Ian Schomaker & Meredith Walters. May 28 Revive America- 6:00 p.m. with music by The Guardians & speaker Stan Toler. A call for revival in our nation and an outpouring of God s Spirit. Congratulations to James & Chelsey Daugherty on the birth of their daughter Harper LeeAnn Daugherty. Harper was born at 5:38 a.m. on March 13, 2017, weighing 6 lbs., 11 oz. and measuring 19 long. Proud grandparents are Darian & Michelle Bookman. Praise the Lord for this new addition to the Daugherty family and our church family! Congratulations to Ryan & Melanie Bible, who were married on April 15, 2017 at the Wiedemann Hill Mansion in Newport, KY. Service officiated by Pastor Jeff Ackenback.
