3 Message from Dedication is the unbelievable amount of time, energy and resources that went into making this sacred space renovation possible... Dedication is about the committee members, congregants with suggestions, architects, designers, venders, artists - and I'm probably leaving some out. Dedication is about the people who are here every Shabbat to worship together in the sacred space. Dedication is caring so much about this congregation - not just the building - that you choose to be here for your happy occasions like baby namings, and Bar or Bat Mitzvah, and birthdays and weddings and anniversaries - and even coming to pray together when someone you love is ill or when someone you love dies. We can be proud of how our sacred space looks. We can be glad about how many improvements there are for our comfort. What we mostly are is blessed to be a holy congregation of people who care about each other and know that being connected to our people and our beliefs give life meaning. 5 B nai Zion Renovated Sanctuary All new lights All lights dimmable Chandeliers added Wall sconces added Programmable light scenes New audio system New audio speakers New video camera Wood trim retained Old Lighting, Sound, Seats, Floor, Walls New Exit signs and emergency lighting Pew seats have extra cushion, and springs, and provide wonderful back support Some rows have no armrests (for people needing wider seats, or snuggling kids) Front seats are moveable, and can be reconfigured for large ceremonies New carpet Acoustical panels on walls remove the echo and improve sound quality Extra pews and seats for overflow of attendees to be able to sit in the foyer Most rows have armrests for each individual All microphones and instruments are connected to sound system New Lighting, Sound, Seats, Floor, Walls 245 Southfield Road Shreveport, LA

6 B nai Zion Renovated Front Doors Cotton Street Stained Glass Pre-renovation windows in sanctuary foyer We used style ideas from the windows in our Cotton Street building and had new stained glass windows created, filling the pre-renovation window frames. Doors, Terrazzo tiles, walkway caulking, B nai Zion sign have all been refinished. Handrails have been reset. B nai Zion Congregation
