5 Obadlah The book of Obadiah ends on the dismal note of Judah s defeat and captivity with no promise in the book of a return to Palestine. Obadiah 1: The conclusion of Obadiah not only predicts Judah s restoration back to Palestine but predicts that the Israelites will return to possess tremendous land areas never before occupied including the land of Edom. Isaiah 11: In spite of Edom s sins, a gracious God will someday restore Edom. 5
