In the tabernacle of the congregation without the veil, which is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall order it from evening to morning before the LORD: it shall be a statute for ever to their generations on the behalf of the children of Israel. Exodus 28:1,2 Bring Aaron your brother, and his sons with him, near to you from among the children of Israel, that he may minister to me in the priest s office, even Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron s sons. You shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother, for glory and for beauty. Exodus 28:9-12 And you shall take two onyx stones, and you shall engrave on them the names of the sons of Israel. Six of their names shall be on one stone, and six of the remaining names on the other stone, according to their birth. With the work of an engraver in stone, like the engravings of a signet, you shall engrave the two stones with the names of the sons of Israel. You shall make them to be set in settings of gold. And you shall put the two stones upon the shoulders of the ephod for stones of memorial to the sons of Israel. And Aaron shall bear their names before the LORD upon his two shoulders for a memorial. 2 Exodus 28:15 You shall make a breastplate of judgment, the work of the skillful workman; like the work of the ephod you shall make it; of gold, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, you shall make it. Exodus 29:38,39 Now this is that which you shall offer on the altar; two lambs of the first year day by day continually. The one lamb you shall offer in the morning; and the other lamb you shall offer at even: Exodus 29:42-46 This shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD: where I will meet you, to speak there to you. And there I will meet with the children of Israel, and the tabernacle shall be sanctified by my glory. And I will sanctify the tabernacle of the congregation, and the altar: I will sanctify also both Aaron and his sons, to minister to me in the priest's office. And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will be their God. And they shall know that I am the LORD their God, that brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, that I may dwell among them: I am the LORD their God. Exodus 30:7,8 And Aaron shall burn thereon sweet incense every morning: when he dresses the lamps, he shall burn incense on it. And when Aaron lights the lamps at even, he shall burn incense on it a perpetual incense before the LORD throughout your generations. Exodus 30:10 Aaron shall make atonement on its horns once a year. With the blood of the sin offering of atonement he shall make atonement for it once in the year throughout your generations. It is most holy to the Lord. 1Samuel 15:2,3 Thus says the LORD of Hosts, I have marked that which Amalek did to Israel, how he set himself against him in the way, when he came up out of Egypt. Now go and strike Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and don t spare them; but kill both man and woman, infant and nursing baby, ox and sheep, camel and donkey. 1Samuel 15:8,9 He took Agag the king of the Amalekites alive, and utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword. But Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep, and of the cattle, and of the fatlings, and the lambs, and all that was good, and wouldn t utterly destroy them: but everything that was vile and refuse, that they destroyed utterly. 2

3 1Samuel 15:10,11 The word of the Lord came to Samuel: I regret that I have made Saul king, for he has turned back from following me and has not performed my commandments. And Samuel was angry, and he cried to the Lord all night. 1Samuel 15:13,14 Samuel came to Saul; and Saul said to him, You are blessed by the LORD! I have performed the commandment of the LORD. Samuel said, Then what does this bleating of the sheep in my ears, and the lowing of the cattle which I hear mean? Saul said, They have brought them from the Amalekites; for the people spared the best of the sheep and of the cattle, to sacrifice to the LORD your God. We have utterly destroyed the rest. 1Samuel 15:15 Saul said, They have brought them from the Amalekites; for the people spared the best of the sheep and of the cattle, to sacrifice to the LORD your God. We have utterly destroyed the rest. 1Samuel 15:19-21 Why then didn t you obey the voice of the LORD, but took the spoils, and did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD? Saul said to Samuel, But I have obeyed the voice of the LORD, and have gone the way which the LORD sent me, and have brought Agag the king of Amalek, and have utterly destroyed the Amalekites. But the people took of the spoil, sheep and cattle, the chief of the devoted things, to sacrifice to the LORD your God in Gilgal. 1Samuel 15:24,25 Saul said to Samuel, I have sinned; for I have transgressed the commandment of the LORD, and your words, because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice. Now therefore, please pardon my sin, and turn again with me, that I may worship the LORD. 1Samuel 15:26-29 Samuel said to Saul, I will not return with you; for you have rejected the word of the LORD, and the LORD has rejected you from being king over Israel. As Samuel turned about to go away, Saul grabbed the skirt of his robe, and it tore. Samuel said to him, The LORD has torn the kingdom of Israel from you this day, and has given it to a neighbor of yours who is better than you. 1Samuel 15:30 Then he said, I have sinned: yet please honor me now before the elders of my people, and before Israel, and come back with me, that I may worship the LORD your God. Deuteronomy 25:17 Remember what Amalek did to you on the way as you came out of Egypt, how he attacked you on the way when you were faint and weary, and cut off your tail, those who were lagging behind you, and he did not fear God. Therefore when the Lord your God has given you rest from all your enemies around you, in the land that the Lord your God is giving you for an inheritance to possess, you shall blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven; you shall not forget. 3
