CHAIM WEINBERG, Minneapolis Dear Friends: Boruch Hashem with great Siyata Dishmaya and in the z chus of our Rabbeim kwwmz, we have been privileged to see Telshe Yeshiva Chicago grow over the last 46 years, spreading its influence and playing a major role in the phenomenal growth of Torah Jewry in America. Hundreds of young men have developed into true Talmidei Chachomim, Rabbonim, Mechanchim, Torah Askonim and businessmen of the highest caliber, helping change communities throughout the United States, Canada, South America and Europe into vibrant centers of Orthodox Jewry. The purchase of a large piece of property adjacent to the Yeshiva will enable us to develop a first quality residence facility, a large auditorium, an auxiliary Bais Medrash and much needed classroom space. We have a historic opportunity to greatly enlarge our capabilities to better serve American Jewry as one of its premier Yeshivos. 6 TELSHE YESHIVA CHICAGO For close to half a century this name has been synonymous with harbotzas Torah of the highest caliber. Telshe alumni serve as marbitzei Torah and communal lay leaders in communities throughout the United States, Israel, Canada, South America, and Europe, committed to sharing their Torah learning and Torah way of life with Jews all over the world. Today, Telshe Yeshiva Chicago has close to 200 talmidim immersed in Torah study in its Mechina, Bais Medrash and Kollel divisions. In the Telshe atmosphere they thrive and grow into tomorrow s leaders. Under the guidance of the devoted Roshei Yeshiva and staff of outstanding Rabbeim and educators, the Yeshiva not only produces dedicated bnai Torah, but also has had a profound impact on the broader Chicago community through various community projects. Due to the Yeshiva s continuing growth, new space is necessary for expanded dormitory and classroom facilities. This need will now be met with the purchase of the former Kagan Home for the Jewish Blind located directly across the street from the current Bais Medrash and classroom building. With this purchase, together with the property to the west of the Yeshiva, the Yeshiva will now have, B ezer Hashem, a full-fledged campus. Due to the vision of the renowned Torah benefactors the Davis and Esformes families, what was only a dream is now beginning to become a reality. They have magnanimously dedicated the Yeshiva campus in memory of Simcha Eliezer Dovid Davis, o h, the son of Yosef and Edie Davis ybl t. Their generosity will iy h provide the impetus for the launching of this ambitious project. The anticipated cost of the campus expansion campaign is five million dollars. With Telshe s glorious record of expanding the Torah horizons of America, we turn to all friends and supporters of Torah to help build this Torah citadel L hagdil Torah Ul haadiro to enhance and glorify Torah in our midst.
