5 READ: ISAIAH 2:1-4 1 The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. 2 Now it shall come to pass in the latter days That the mountain of the LORD S house Shall be established on the top of the mountains, And shall be exalted above the hills; And all nations shall flow to it. 3 Many people shall come and say, "Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths. "For out of Zion shall go forth the law, And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. 4 He shall judge between the nations, And rebuke many people; They shall beat their swords into plowshares, And their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, Neither shall they learn war anymore.

8 QUESTIONS: ISAIAH 2:1-2 2 Now It shall come to pass in the latter days That the mountain of the LORD S house Shall be established on the top of the mountains And shall be exalted above the hills; And all nations shall flow to it. WHAT ARE THESE LATTER DAYS? LAST DAYS? READ: ACTS 2: This is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: 17 It shall come to pass in the last days says God that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh. Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy. Your young men shall see visions and your old men shall dream dreams. NKJV (JOEL 2:28) READ: HEBREWS 1:1-2 1 God who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, 2 Has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things through whom also He made the worlds. My elect shall inherit it and My servants shall dwell there. The LORD bless you O home of justice and mountain of holiness! NKJV READ: MICAH 4:7 7 I will make the lame a remnant and the outcast a strong nation. The LORD will reign over them in Mount Zion from now on even forever. NKJV

READ: JEREMIAH 3: At that time Jerusalem shall be called the Throne of the LORD. All the nations shall be gathered to it to the name of the LORD to Jerusalem. No more shall they follow the dictates of their evil hearts. 18 In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel. They shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given as an inheritance to your fathers. NKJV

READ: JEREMIAH 31: Behold the days are coming says the LORD when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah 32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt My covenant which they broke though I was a husband to them says the LORD. 33 This is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days says the LORD. I will put My law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God and they shall be My people. NKJV

READ: HEBREWS 8:12 8 Finding fault with them He says: Behold, the days are coming says the LORD when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah. 9 NOT according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt. BECAUSE they did not continue in My covenant and I disregarded them says the LORD. 10 This is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days says the LORD: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts. I will be their God and they shall be My people.

READ: HEBREW 10: This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days says the LORD: I will put My laws into their hearts and in their minds I will write them. 17 Then He adds Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more. HOW WILL THE LORD JUDGE AND REBUKE ALL NATIONS? READ: PSALMS 46:9 9 He makes wars cease to the end of the earth. He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two. He burns the chariot in the fire. READ: ZECHARIAH 9:10 10 I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim and the horse from Jerusalem. The battle bow shall be cut off. He shall speak peace to the nations. His dominion shall be from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth. NKJV

READ: JOEL 3:1-2 1 Behold in those days and at that time when I bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem 2 I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. I will enter into judgment with them there on account of My people My heritage Israel whom they have scattered among the nations. They have also divided up My land. NKJV

WHO IS THE LORD SPEAKING TO? WHAT DOES THE LORD WANT THEM TO DO? WHY HAS THE LORD FORSAKEN HIS PEOPLE? WHAT WERE THESE EASTERN WAYS? WHAT HAD THEY DONE? DID THE LORD WARN THEM ABOUT THIS?

21 QUESTIONS: ISAIAH 2:5-7 5 O house of Jacob, come and let us walk in the light of the LORD. WHAT DOES THE LORD WANT THEM TO DO? HOW DOES ONE WALK IN THE LIGHT OF THE LORD? READ: ROMANS 6:3-4 4 We were buried with Him through baptism into death that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father even so we also should walk in newness of life. NKJV READ: ROMANS 8:1 1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. NKJV READ: ROMANS 13:12 12 The night is far spent; the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness and let us put on the armor of light.

READ: EPHESIANS 5:8 8 You were once darkness but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light. NKJV READ: 1 THESSALONIANS 5:8 8 Let us who are of the day be sober putting on the breastplate of faith and love and as a helmet the hope of salvation. NKJV 1 JOHN 1:7 7 If we walk in the light as He is in the light we have fellowship with one another. And the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. NKJV

WHY HAS THE LORD FORSAKEN HIS PEOPLE? WHAT WERE THESE EASTERN WAYS? WHO WERE THESE PEOPLE? READ: EZRA 9:1 1 When these things were done the leaders came to me saying The people of Israel, the Priests and the Levites have not separated themselves from the peoples of the lands with respect to the abominations of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites. DID THE LORD WARN THEM ABOUT THIS? READ: EXODUS 23: I will set your bounds from the Red Sea to the sea, Philistia, and from the desert to the River. I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand and you shall drive them out before you. 32 You shall make no covenant with them nor with their gods. 33 They shall not dwell in your land lest they make you sin against Me. If you serve their gods it will surely be a snare to you.

READ: EXODUS 34: Take heed to yourself Lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land where you are going Lest it be a snare in your midst. 13 You shall destroy their altars break their sacred pillars and cut down their wooden images 14 For you shall worship no other god. For the LORD whose name is Jealous is a jealous God 15 Lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land and they play the harlot with their gods and make sacrifice to their gods and one of them invites you and you eat of his sacrifice NKJV

DID THE LORD WARN THEM ABOUT THIS? READ: DEUTERONOMY 18: There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire or one who practices witchcraft or a soothsayer or one who interprets omens or a sorcerer 11 Or one who conjures spells or a medium or a spiritist or one who calls up the dead. 12 For all who do these things are an abomination to the LORD And because of these abominations the LORD your God drives them out from before you. 13 You shall be blameless before the LORD your God. 14 For these nations which you will dispossess listened to soothsayers and diviners. But as for you the LORD your God has not appointed such for you. NKJV

WHAT HAPPENED TO THEIR CHILDREN? WHY? DEUTERONOMY 7:2-4 2 When the LORD your God delivers them over to you you shall conquer them and utterly destroy them. You shall make no covenant with them nor show mercy to them. 3 Nor shall you make marriages with them. You shall not give your daughter to their son nor take their daughter for your son. 4 For they will turn your sons away from following Me to serve other gods. So the anger of the LORD will be aroused against you and destroy you suddenly. NKJV

READ: NEHEMIAH 13: In those days I also saw Jews who had married women of Ashdod, Ammon, and Moab. 24 Half of their children spoke the language of Ashdod and could not speak the language of Judah but spoke according to the language of one or the other people. WHY WERE THEY CONTENTED? WHAT HAD THE LORD COMMANDED THEM ABOUT THIS? DEUTERONOMY 17: He shall not multiply horses for himself nor cause the people to return to Egypt to multiply horses. For the LORD has said to you You shall not return that way again. 17 Neither shall he multiply wives for himself Lest his heart turn away. Nor shall he greatly multiply silver and gold for himself. NKJV

WHAT DID SOLOMON DO? READ: 1 KINGS 10: Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen. He had one thousand four hundred chariots and twelve thousand horsemen whom he stationed in the chariot cities and with the king at Jerusalem. 27 The king made silver as common in Jerusalem as stones and he made cedar trees as abundant as the sycamores which are in the lowland. 28 Solomon had horses imported from Egypt and Keveh. The king's merchants bought them in Keveh at the current price. 29 A chariot that was imported from Egypt cost six hundred shekels of silver and a horse one hundred and fifty. Thus through their agents they exported them to all the kings of the Hittites and the kings of Syria. (2 CHRONICLES 1:15-17)

WHAT DID HIRAM DO? READ: 2 CHRONICLES 8:18 18 Hiram sent him ships by the hand of his servants and servants who knew the sea. HOW DID ABRAHAM S FAMILY WORSHIP? READ: JOSHUA 24:2 2 Joshua said to all the people Thus says the LORD God of Israel: Your fathers including Terah the father of Abraham and the father of Nahor dwelt on the other side of the River in old times and they served other gods. NKJV READ: GENESIS 31: Rachel had taken the household idols put them in the camel's saddle and sat on them. And Laban searched all about the tent but did not find them. 35 She said to her father Let it not displease my lord that I cannot rise before you for the manner of women is with me. And he searched but did not find the household idols. NKJV

READ: EXODUS 20:4-6 4 You shall not make for yourself a carved image: any likeness of anything that is in heaven above or that is in the earth beneath or that is in the water under the earth. 5 You shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I the LORD your God am a jealous God visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me. 6 But showing mercy to thousands to those who love Me and keep My commandments. NKJV

READ: EXODUS 32:1-4 1 When the people saw that Moses delayed coming down from the mountain the people gathered together to Aaron and said to him Come make us gods that shall go before us. For as for this Moses the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt we do not know what has become of him. 2 Aaron said to them: Break off the golden earrings which are in the ears of your wives, your sons and your daughters and bring them to me. 3 All the people broke off the golden earrings which were in their ears and brought them to Aaron. 4 He received the gold from their hand and he fashioned it with an engraving tool and made a molded calf.
