Towards the end of his sermon, Huzur related that the Jama at collected 4,102,792 for Tehrik e Jadid, exceeding last years collection by some 500,000. The number of contributors also reached the 500,000 mark. Huzoor read the list of Jama ats in the top ten. Huzur said that USA was second but their total contribution is less than last year s while the exchange rate of US dollar has been better this year. The contribution of UK is 74,000 more than last year. In the USA, the top 4 contributing Jama ats are Silicon Valley, Chicago West, North Virginia and Detroit. Huzur prayed that may Allah reward all those who participated in Tehrik e Jadid this year may He bless their wealth immeasurably and may they continue to make fi nancial sacrifi ces and may they enhance their standards of worship of Allah. CARAVAN E ISLAM Introduced With this inaugural issue, we are starting our monthly newsletter, Caravan e Islam, in order to educate the US Jama at about Tehrik e Jadid. Here are a few regular features of this publication: What is New in the world of Ahmadiyyat? Under this section, we will cover new developments taking place across the world, including: the building of mosques (founded or inaugurated) or other tangible structures, translations of publications, and technological advancements used for the cause of Islam. Capsule of worldwide accomplishments of Tehrik e Jadid will show the progress of the worldwide Jama at under Tehrik e Jadid. Inspirational anecdotes as related since 1934 by the Khulafa in their sermons will be covered, highlighting the notable sacrifices of members. The future of Ahmadiyyat according to the visions of Divine elites: Thr Promised Messiah and the Khulafa have been bestowed with visions and Kashoof (waking visions) about the future of Ahmadiyyat. A few of these will be covered regularly in each issue. Secretary of the Month recognized: Each month, we will recognize Tekrik e Jadid secretaries from among the 70 existing chapters in USA.

New additions also took place in USA. However locals should never fear our mosques. It is only when you have lived with somebody that you are able to judge their character. And that is why whenever we have built mosques very soon any misunderstandigs or fears that the locals have are completeely removed. The Khadija Mosque was opened on October 16, It has been built in the Pankow area of East Berlin. This mosque has been designed by an Ahmadi lady architect and has been funded exclusively by Lajna. The Berliner Morning Post wrote: Quran is being transfered from the lost and unknown corners into visible buildings. This is an indication that Muslims are now a bonafide part of Germany. We can congratulate them wherever they would build mosque. We should not however absolve them of their civic duties. Catholics and Protestants have also been invigorated by seeing the Muslim passion. 3 Qamar Mosque Inaugurated in Weil Der Stadt On August 21, 2008, our beloved Imam inaugurated the first mosque in the wealthy community of Wiel Der Stadt. The foundation was laid in 2000 and the plot purchased in 2006 for 113 Euros. 220 worshippers can offer prayers in the two halls in this two-story complex. A guest house on the second floor with good parking facilties enhance the utility of this complex. Three additional Mosques were built in Germany: in Rodgau, Hannover and Stade (Baitul Karim). Huzoor graced their inauguration. Baitul Karim in Stade Germany Mosque in Hannover Germany Mosque in Rodagau Germany Germany s first Jamia Ahmadiyya is established in Frankfort at Baitus Subooh August 29, 2008 marks the beginning of thge first Jamia (Missionary Training Institute) in Germany, located in Baitus Subooh in Frankort. Out of 57 applicants, 25 were selected for its inaugrual class. Maulana Shamshad Qamar Sahib has been appointed as the first pricipal of this facility. A separate plot has been acquired in Reinstadt which awaits legal clearance. Masjid Al-Mahdi is Inaugurated in Bradford, U.K. Masjid Al-Mahdi in Bradford, U.K. The town of Bradford, U.K. On November Huzoor inaugurated Bait ul Mahdi in Bradford UK with his weekly friday sermon. The Ahmadiyya Jama at in Bradford was founded in Since then the Ahmedi population has increased steadily. The foundation stone of the mosque was laid on October 2, Over the next four years the cost of construction reached more than 2 million pounds. The mosque, which can accomodate over 1200 worshippers, is located on an elevated piece of land overlooking the city. Huzoor, commenting on the mosque, said: Our mosques are the ones that put forth the hand of reconciliation. Our introduction to the world is that we wish to remove the world from strife and discord... Today the words and acts of an Ahmedi should be of love so that they are able to join hearts together and remove all friction from the world.

4 Historical Day - October 22, Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih V aba is invited by the United Kingdom House of Parliament to give an address. This historic event was attended by 30 MPs including Rt Hon Hazel Blears, Secretary of of State for communities & local governments, Dominic Grieve MP and many others. Huzur Visits Kerala, India; Four New Mosques Inaugurated Huzoor is unveiling a plaque on the wall of Baitul Quddoos, Calicut Kerala Inauguration ceremony on Nove 28, 2008 in Calicut Kerala A new Hospital (Al-Shifa) has been built in Paraku, Benin. Huzur Aqdas laid the foundation stone in 2004 and it was inaugurated on July 31, It is a sixty-bed hospital with wards for medicine, maternity, pediatrics and fully equipped operation theatres. Dr. Kessie Tchala, Minister of Health, performed the opening ceremony. 250 people attended the ceremony. Prior attempts were made in the second, third and fourth Khilafat to establish a mosque and mission house in Italy. Finally a gift of the Khilafat Centenary year was received when the first mission house was established in Italy. Maulana Sadaqat Ahmad inaugurated this facility. NEW TECHNOLOGY AT THE SERVICE OF HADHRAT AHMAD AH IN GERMANY Langhar Khana (Food Service at the Jalsa) is a revealed institution and is in operation since the beginning of Ahmadiyyat. This year Allah has provided another technology to facilitate the Ziafat function. Dr. Mannan Haq has created a fully automatic machine to wash and clean large cooking vessels (Daigs). This computerized machine has sensors to remove debris and dispense appropriate liquid to ensure spotless cleaning in 2-3 minutes. He devised this machine by toiling 6000 man hours.
