Our Mission for the past 30 years is to promote Marathi culture, art and literature in LA and Greater LA Area. To promote Marathi culture, we organize various cultural programs such as Sankrant, Ganesh Utsav, Diwali and Holi. To sustain and promote Marathi Literature we have been maintaining a Marathi Book Library. We have also added Marathi Videos (VCDs & DVDs) to our library. To spread Marathi literature we publish features, stories, articles, and poems from local authors in our bi-monthly newsletter Bharari and in our annual Diwali Ank. We promote Marathi Art by inviting imminent personalities from Marathi Rangamanch from India to perform in LA Area. We provide a unique platform to local artist to showcase their talent by organizing plays, dance and singing competitions and supporting satellite events like Gunadarshan. Apart from promoting Art, Literature and Culture, we bring Marathi community together by organizing social events like Camping Nights, Sports Day and Picnics. This is a helpline for people to call to address below issues: Get assistance when in need medical, domestic issues, etc. Answers to difficult questions immigration, health insurance, etc. General guidance on issues -- child care, elderly care Or simply if one is new to LA and looking for apartments and schools. Like to volunteer, please get involved with Marg Team: We are always looking for like minded people to make this initiative a success. To get involved with Marg or if you have questions or suggestion or if you need assistance please write to us at marg@mmla.org. MANTHAN Manthan is MMLA's initiative for Broadcasting Marathi Sahitya online. Manthan will feature Marathi articles and stories written by authors from our Marathi community. This is a program completely driven by the community- that is people like you. Manthan needs your articles, short-stories or any Marathi literary work. BHARARI Bharari is the name of MMLA bi-monthly newsletter. It will inform you of the happenings in the Marathi community. MARATHI SHALA We are very happy to announce that in September 2016 MMLA will officially inaugurate a new Marathi Shala in Torrance. This shala will have 3 primary teachers and the venue is 3301 Airport Dr, Torrance, Please visit MMLA website for enrollments.
