During our Family Worship Service, our Nursery is fully staffed to care for children from birth through 3 years old. Kids from PreK through Grade 5 will be dismissed for Little Eden Kids Church during the service. Parents can pick them up in room 4 after Family Worship. 4 Family Promise is THIS WEEK June rd We are honored to be hosting 3 families, with a total of 8 kids under 12!! Lots of opportunities to show the love of Christ. Please check out the Welcome Center to see what areas still need to be filled. Ward & Ruth Mumaw/ hosting Warren & Renee Krabbe/ meals Bobby Lovett/set up & tear down Hard Choices for Loving People session will be held on Wednesday, June 19 th at 7p in the overflow area. This program offers information for late-life and end-of-life decision making. Honest answers, practical advice, and spiritual guidance are critical to helping individuals and families make decisions about care at home, assisted living, in-care facilities or Hospice. Don t wait until it s too late. Make your wishes known now. Sign up at the Welcome Center. There is no cost to attend. TWO Youth Fundraisers! Choose one choose both!! Car Wash Saturday June 22 nd, 8a to 12p, in the church parking lot. Come get your vehicle washed whether it s clean or dirty! Chick-fil-a - Monday, June 24 th, 5p to 8p. Mention BVMC Connect Youth. A portion of the profit from those 3 hours goes directly to our youth. Please, eat some good chicken and support our youth group traveling to Phoenix this summer! BVMC Visioning Meeting - Sunday, June 23 6p Regardless of membership status, all are welcomed and encouraged to join in this visioning meeting. We will review the vision for Bahia Vista, and discern how we can move forward together. It will be held in the Fellowship Hall. Light refreshments will be served. Psalms and Prayer C-Group will begin meeting June 26 th. This group, led by Cal Mills, is open to all and will meet each Wednesday evening at 7pm in the overflow area of the church. 5 Take Charge of Your Blood Pressure Even young adults can take steps now to reduce their risk of High Blood Pressure. You can get more information & get your BP checked by Congregational Nurses next Sunday, June 23. BP checks are available on the 4 th Sunday of every month from 9:30-10:30a in room 12. "Take me out to the ball game" - Friday, June 28 - All-church outing to the see the Tampa Bay Rays vs the Detroit Tigers baseball game. The cost is $35 per person plus parking and gas. We will leave from the church at 5:15p. Sponsored by the Men of Purpose. TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO SIGN UP at the Welcome Center. FREE BOOKS from the library will be placed on tables outside the library on June 23 rd and 30 th. Stop by and help yourself! SMC and MCA USA would like to invite each of you to a Meet and Greet. 6 PRACTICAL SUGGESTIONS: INTEGRATING FAITH & FINANCES Managing Money Create a spending plan see Everence.com for these free budgeting resources: 1. Creating a budget download our 12-page pamphlet that provides practical advice from a faith perspective. 2. Excel budget worksheet provides percentage suggestions for each spending category 3. Online calculators determine saving goals, build a spending plan or determine retirement income. Update your will Everence members can receive a $50 reimbursement for creating or updating a will. This is an excellent way to express your love and make your wishes known. Commit to annual financial goals for example, eliminate all consumer related debt by [date] or save [amount] per month to purchase a vehicle by [month/year]. Teach your children how your family handles its finances. Meet with a financial advisor (preferably an Everence advisor) on an annual basis to establish financial goals and develop a plan of action. Review your insurance plans (beneficiary, coverage, etc.) whenever there is a significant life event (marriage, child, death, etc.) or once every three years. Come in out of the heat for Christmas in July VBS 2013! We still need a few grown-up hands to help with VBS July 22 nd -26 th. Fred Litwiller, winter resident, died on June 6 th. A memorial service was held at the College Mennonite Church in Goshen on June 10 th. Cards are welcomed for Faye at: 1234 Camden Court, Goshen, IN Bobby & Michelle Lovett Fire caused damage in their home, and are unable to live there. Looking for a place to live. Help and prayers appreciated. Rosie Miller and her family dealing with the sorrow of the passing of David Ray last week. Elva Raber is back at SMH with heart complications. Bertha Roes is declining, waiting for a bed in the Nursing Home at Sunnyside. Please pray for peace and comfort. The hope for our Student Ministry is to be a catalyst for change in each student s life. The Student Ministry leadership passionately desires for each student to know God intimately by the time they graduate from high school.
