1 10 Things You Gotta Know About Jesus Christ

2 #1 Jesus Christ was born of a virgin Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel (Isa. 7:14). So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel, which is translated, God with us (Matt. 1:22-23).

3 #2 Jesus was born in Bethlehem But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are little among the thousands of Judah, Yet out of you shall come forth to Me The One to be Ruler in Israel, Whose goings forth are from of old, from everlasting (Micah 5:2). (also see Luke 2:1-18)

4 #3 Jesus was 100% human In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:1, 14). Jesus ate, drank, was thirsty, slept, wept, was tired, etc. Hypostatic Union: Jesus was 100% man and 100% God 2 distinct natures existing in one person!

5 #4 Jesus is 100% God In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (John 1:1). Thomas answered and said to Him, My Lord and my God! (John 20:28).

6 Jesus: God the Son The Son is often referred to as the second person of the trinity. He is eternal, self existent, distinct from the Father & Holy Spirit. Biblical Support: Isa. 9:6; John 1:1-3, 8:58-59,10:30-33, 20:28; Rom. 9:5; Phil. 2:5-11; Col. 1:15-18; Titus 1:2-4, 2:13-14; Heb. 1:1-8; Rev. 1:7-8. His work in creation, redemption, salvation, and His attributes all speak to His deity.

7 #5 Jesus lived a sinless life For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him (2 Cor. 5:21). For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin (Heb. 4:15).

8 The Deity of Christ Jesus was Worshipped!!! And behold, Jesus met the disciples and greeted them. And they came up and took hold of His feet and worshipped Him. (Matt. 28:9)

9 The Deity of Christ Jesus was Worshipped!!! After coming into the house they saw the Child with Mary His mother; and they fell to the ground and worshipped Him (Matt. 2:11)

10 The Deity of Christ Looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus (Titus 2:13) To those who have received a faith of the same kind as ours, by the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ (2 Peter 1:1)

11 #6 Jesus was crucified, buried, and rose again on the 3 rd day I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures (1 Cor. 15:1-3).

12 #7 Jesus ascended into heaven Now when Jesus had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said, Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven (Acts 1:9-11).

14 #9 Jesus is the only way to salvation Jesus said, I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me (John 14:6). There is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life (1 John 5:12).
