5 NEWS FOR THE BODY OF CHRIST Evening Vacation Bible School - Son Sparks Lab - June 22-26, PM to 8:30 PM - Children 4 years old through kids entering 5th grade Registration Early Bird (BEFORE June 8th) $10/child OR $25/3+ siblings Late (AFTER June 8th) $15/child OR $35/3+ siblings Registration online at Summer Camp information is still available in the Welcome Center. Bethany offers a $100 refund for camp tuition for children actively involved in Sunday School and Youth programs. SAVE THE DATE! The Bethany Youth Groups (BYG) are having a Spaghetti Dinner on May 9 th to benefit their mission trips! Please see a Youth Group member or come to the church office during the week to purchase your tickets! New Electronic Giving Options To get started, click on the New Electronic Giving Options link at the top of our home page at Then click the Set Up Giving link which will take you to the Online Donation / Registration page and then create your profile. The QR code will be appearing ongoing in various printed materials. All men are invited to participate in the Bethany Men s Ensemble which will be singing on Sunday, May 17 at both services. 6 PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN AND MOPS MOTHER S DAY ZACK PACK MISSION PROJECT APRIL 12, 2015 MAY 10, 2015 WE ARE STILL COLLECTING STATIONERY, FULL SIZE TOILETRIES, AND OTHER PERSONAL GROOMING ITEMS FOR THE BACKPACKS, YOU CAN PUT THE ITEMS IN THE BASKET AT THE WELCOME CENTER. THANK YOU. Bethany Men s Retreat All Men of Bethany are invited to attend a retreat on Friday, May 29 th and Saturday, May 30 th at Lakeview Resort in Morgantown, WV. There are several options for activities on Friday and Saturday in addition to two retreat sessions for introspection and contemplation of what God is doing in your life. There is golfing and fishing planned for your physical well-being while your soul is also nurtured. The cost for golfers is $ plus tax per person for double occupancy ($ single) which includes two rounds of golf, dinner, lodging and breakfast. The non-golf package is $ plus tax per person for double occupancy ($ single). Space is limited so please act quickly. Deadline is May 10 th. If you have any questions, see Tom Hayes or Pastor Robbie. Reservations can be secured with a $100 deposit by calling Karen or Shelly at and letting Tom or Robbie know. Please note The PW Strawberry Festival is CANCELLED for this coming June 6. Instead, The Women of Bethany will offer Strawberry Desserts TO GO to Benefit SHIM on Sunday June 7 th after both services. We will then partake of it together, signifying our unity as the Body of Christ. Each person is asked to drink the juice as soon as he or she receives it, signifying the personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Meditate on our Lord and His sacrifice as soon as the elements are received.

Don't shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ - that's where the action is. See things from his perspective. Your old life is dead. Your new life, which is your real life - even though invisible to spectators - is with Christ in God. He is your life.
