2 ... in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed. Genesis : MCC brings together Mennonites and Brethren in Christ to help share God s blessing with the world. In addition to ongoing work in relief, development and peace in 0 countries, from April 0 through March 0, MCC provided some $0.7 million to help meet basic needs of those affected by the n crisis within and in and. Other major responses included help for communities devastated by Typhoon Haiyan in the and people displaced by conflict in South. MCC continued to partner with an organizations and communities in rebuilding after the 00 earthquake, and MCC canned meat and hygiene kits helped alleviate suffering in the Democratic Republic of Korea (North Korea). MCC also strengthened support for joint Christian-Muslim efforts to prevent violence in, funded efforts to work for peace in eastern of the Congo and helped Brethren in Christ and other schools expand school-based peace clubs in southern Africa. Through ongoing work in communities such as Bolpur,, Meru Hansda, left, and others are now harvesting more through new rice-growing techniques. Through MCC efforts worldwide, some, households connected to an improved water source in the last year, and MCC s Global Family education program promoted learning in countries. 4 Sharing God s love and compassion Through an interactive activity, The Loss of Turtle Island, MCC Central States invites people who live on land formerly inhabited by Native Americans to explore and reflect on the history and effects of coerced treaties, forced marches, European diseases and the loss of culture in Mennonite boarding schools.
