2 Greetings from our District Overseer Once again, it is my greatest delight to greet this Convention. It is my hope as we listen to the Holy Spirit, and are driven by the Holy Spirit, that we are willing to follow Him. Over the past four years the Holy Spirit has given us a few directives that were both provoking and direct. The challenging question for all of us is, Did we really listen to what the spirit said? A few of the promptings of the Holy Spirit included: Becoming Empowered to do Exploits; Exploring the Dimensions of God; Spiritual Renewal; Holy Spirit Driven Ministry. They were meant to be practical and dynamic. So, the next probing question is, "What spiritual strides have we made? So this year comes with another challenge from the Holy Spirit - AWAKE. Our response in this Convention will determine whether we remain where we are, or AWAKE to the challenge. Knowing the hour, it is high time to AWAKE OUT OF SLEEP, for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed - Romans 13 v 11. I am convinced that the Holy Spirit is at work and we should be also, in collaboration with Him: But if the spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you. He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His spirit who dwells in you. Romans 8 v 11. If that is you, then AWAKE to the call to mission, which is the primary goal of the church; a commission to evangelize the lost and disciple the saved. We call on the spirit once again to revive us, fill each heart with thy love and may each soul be rekindled with fire from above. It is my hope that in this Convention, we will experience an awakening and an explosive Holy Ghost break-out. It s high time to AWAKE!
