Unit Know the events that led to Jesus suffering and death on the Cross Grow in understanding of why Jesus had to die on the Cross Feel love for and gratitude to Jesus for being our Savior Want to belong to Jesus Receive Jesus as Savior or thank Him for being their Savior Verse-a-Month Club Verse: We have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world (1 John 4:14). Faith Words Testify To tell about something. People who believe in Jesus tell others that He is God s Son and came to be our Savior. Savior A savior sets people free from something bad. Jesus is our Savior. He came to earth to show us God s love. He died to set us free from our sins. Know that God sent the Holy Spirit so that all believers can have Jesus with them always Want to live for God Rely on the Holy Spirit to help them live for God

Unit Begin to understand that the Church includes all people who have received Jesus as Savior and who live obediently for God Discover ways that the Church lives for God and helps others come to Jesus Feel glad for the Church and want to be part of it Become part of the Church by receiving Jesus as Savior Take part, as they are able, in the worship and work of the Church Verse-a-Month Club Verse: Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it (1 Corinthians 12:27). Faith Words Church God s family of believers who have received Jesus as Savior. The Church with a capital C is all believers, everywhere. The church can also mean a place of worship. Believers People who believe that Jesus is God s Son. Believers have received Jesus as their Savior, and they love and obey Him. Salvation/Saved All that God does to forgive people of their sins and to help them obey Him. People who are forgiven of their sins are saved.
