Unit Become familiar with the people and events of the Easter story Ask God to forgive their sins and claim Jesus as their Savior Celebrate the Easter miracle and tell others about Jesus Verse-a-Month Club Verse: God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of it (Acts 2:32). MARCH 4, 2018 Lesson 1 Jesus Prayed for Strength Scripture: Mark 14:32-42; Luke 22:39-46 Bible Story: Jesus Prepares to Die Bible Truth: Prayer helped Jesus prepare to die on the Cross. Know that Jesus prayed to God for strength Realize that Jesus prayer confirmed that He was willing and ready to die on the Cross for the sins of all people Believe that God will answer their prayers for strength to obey Him MARCH 11, 2018 Lesson 2 Jesus Died for Us Scripture: Luke 22:47-53, 63-71; Luke 23 Bible Story: The Saddest and Best Day in the World Bible Truth: Jesus died on the Cross for our sins. Know why Jesus came to earth and died on the Cross Grow in awareness that Jesus died for them Ask God to forgive their sins if they have not already done so Thank God that Jesus died for them MARCH 18, 2018 Lesson 3 Jesus Is Alive! Scripture: Luke 24:1-12 Bible Story: He Is Not Here He Is Risen! Bible Truth: Jesus rose from the dead. Know that Jesus died, was buried, and rose from the dead Feel joyful because of the miracle of Easter

Be amazed by how God rescued His people Trust in God s power to help them in difficult situations Praise God for His awesome power to help us APRIL 15, 2018 Lesson 7 God Provides for His People Scripture: Exodus 16:1 17:7 Bible Story: Miracle Manna Bible Truth: God provides for our needs. Know how God provided for His people in the wilderness Be thankful that God cares for them Take all of their needs to God in prayer Unit 3 Give Me 10! Unit Bible Truth: God gave the Ten Commandments to help us know how to live as His people. Unit Know what the Ten Commandments are Realize that the Ten Commandments apply to their lives today Thank God for showing His love by giving rules to help us live as His people Express their love for God and others by obeying the Ten Commandments Verse-a-Month Club Verse: Obey the LORD your God and follow his commands (Deuteronomy 27:10). APRIL 22, 2018 Lesson 8 Rules for Right Living Scripture: Exodus 19:1 20:21 Bible Story: Ten Ways to Obey God Bible Truth: God gave us the Ten Commandments to help us live as His people. Know that God gave Moses the Ten Commandments to help the Israelites live as His people Realize that it is important to obey the Ten Commandments today Obey God s laws because they love Him

Scripture: Luke 12:13-21 Bible Story: The Man Who Wanted More Bible Truth: Knowing and loving God is more important than having lots of things. Know that it is wrong to be greedy and selfish Realize that true happiness comes from loving God and putting Him first Ask God to help them love Him more than they love things JULY 29, 2018 Lesson 9 Live Like Jesus Choose Life! Scripture: John 4:1-42 Bible Story: A Thirsty Woman Bible Truth: God gives eternal life to all who believe in Jesus and accept Him as Savior. Begin to understand that salvation is for all who believe in Jesus and accept Him as their Savior Want to be a follower of Jesus Accept Jesus as Savior if they are ready to do so

Unit Understand what it means to be faithful to God Realize that God works through faithful people to help others Want to be faithful to God Care about the needs of others, pray about those needs, and help if they are able Verse-a-Month Club Verse: Be sure to fear the LORD and serve him faithfully with all your heart (1 Samuel 12:24). AUGUST 5, 2018 Lesson 10 Faithful Ruth Scripture: Ruth 1 2 Bible Story: Ruth Stays True Bible Truth: God works through faithful people to help others. Understand what it means to be faithful Realize that God worked through Ruth to provide for her and Naomi Begin to understand that God wants them to be faithful to Him Identify ways God works through them to meet the needs of others AUGUST 12, 2018 Lesson 11 Faithful Boaz Scripture: Ruth 3 4 Bible Story: Boaz Rescues Ruth Bible Truth: God works through faithful people to accomplish many things. Know that God used Boaz s faithfulness to care for Ruth and Naomi Recall a time when someone helped to care for them Pray that God will work through them to help care for others AUGUST 19, 2018 Lesson 12 Faithful Hannah Scripture: 1 Samuel 1:1 2:11, Bible Story: Hannah Keeps a Promise Bible Truth: God s people must be faithful to Him. Realize that Hannah s faithfulness pleased God Want to please God by being faithful to Him Think carefully when they make a promise and keep the promises they make

Know that Samuel faithfully listened to God and obeyed Him Know that both Hannah s and Samuel s faithfulness brought great good to God s people Want to listen to God and obey Him Decide to obey God in the choices they make
