6 Senior High Youth Scavenger Hunt Sunday, August 24 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm We will meet at church, where youth will be placed in teams to go on a photo scavenger hunt in the community. After the hunt, we'll meet back at church for snacks and a time of devotion, and the scavenger hunt winning team will be announced. Parents, we need your help! We need drivers to drive our teams around the area as they take photos of the items on their scavenger hunt list. Youth and parent drivers should sign up on the youth board. In other youth news... The youth loft clean-up is underway! We have made great progress on the clean-up, and are almost ready to paint. We are in need of monetary donations to contribute to the cost of slipcovers and pillows for the couches, which we will be cleaning and covering once our paint job is complete. If you wish to contribute, you can do so at any time by contacting Stephanie Murray, or you may send in a donation the day of the scavenger hunt. Logan Borden, a former youth group member, is off to military training. To send him well wishes and encouragement, we'd like to ship a box of Power Bars, the only snack he is allowed to receive at this time. Because he has to have enough for his entire company before he can enjoy his snack, we are in need of at least 60. We will be collecting small boxes of Power Bars on the day of the scavenger hunt, but if you'd like to drop off a donation at the church before then, you can leave them in the mailroom with a note, and we will collect them. Annual Family Fall Fest Come join the fun at the Lutheran Home s 117th Annual Family Fall Festival on Sunday, September 7 on the Lutheran Home campus at 800 West Oakton Street in Arlington Heights.
