2 Prayer Upon Entering the Sanctuary: Thank you Father for inviting me into the gathering of your people. Thank you for choosing me, for giving me your salvation. I come into this place in humility and with boldness. I m here to worship. I m here to fellowship, I m here for you. Through Jesus Christ my Lord and His shed blood I come. Pastor: Special welcome! Sunday School classes will begin where we learn new things about God and about how he wants us to live for Jesus. What you do, you students and you teachers in the classrooms and what we do here is all connected together and is all important. We work together, each in the way God has given to us, to build a stronger church, an ever more faithful people of God. Sunday school has an important place in our life together; it is the place where faith is nurtured in the young and the aged. Without the students we are poorer; without the teachers and helpers we are weaker; without you the parents and the rest of congregation we are less than God wants us to be. So today, in recognition of this fact we make a set of promises to one another before God, we enter into a covenant to love and support each other, to grow and learn together, and to make God and faithfulness to Him the center of our lives. Pastor: The threads we bring this day are unique and precious. We offer them with courage and timidity, pride and humility. May these threads be woven together with love. Students and Teachers (please stand): We are students and teachers, bringing threads of questions, community, and commitment. Pastor: May these threads be woven together with love.

Pastor: May these threads be woven together with love. LET US PRAY: Loving God, as we have promised before each other and before you, so let it be. Pour out your power and your grace upon us. Help us be your family and to seek together to live your way; to learn together to do your will; to work together to help one another; and to share with each other the joys and concerns you place upon our hearts. People: Speak the Word of the Lord so we can learn and understand. Pastor: God asks in His Word for us to be a people of prayer. People: Teach us to pray Lord. TODAY WE CELEBRATE THE LORD S SUPPER --- Anyone who is baptized into Christ Jesus, who believes in Christ s Real Presence, and believes that to receive Christ is to receive forgiveness, is welcome to join us at the table to receive this Holy Sacrament. Everyone, no matter the age, is welcome to come to God s table of grace. The confirmand will be communed first with his family, sponsors, and mentor and spouse. Then the rest of the congregation is invited to come to God s table. The ushers will instruct you to come forward. Please come and receive the elements of grace and new life!

This is a potluck so please bring a food item to share, we will also have yard games, a campfire & s mores. LYO is open to students in 7 th to 12 grades and their friends.
