Mr. and Mrs. Vann (Betty Lynn) Downs, Gray, and Will 8 Forest Pines Drive Statesboro, GA Phone: Vann and Betty Lynn and their two sons, Gray and Will, join our church on transfer of membership from a local church of another denomination. Vann is self-employed and Betty Lynn is a homemaker. Gray is a student at the University of Georgia while Will will graduate as the Valedictorian at Bulloch Academy. District Conference This Sunday afternoon, April 24, the Northeast District Conference will be held at Pittman Park UMC from 4:00-6:00PM. 3 Youth Ministries News Missions Weekend May 6 & 7 Missions Weekend is right around the corner. If your student would like to participate today, April 24, is the deadline to sign up. Also, we still need some parent volunteers to help pull this weekend off! Please consider how you can help and let Becca know: bbrown@statesborofirst.com. Graduation Sunday May 22 We will recognize our graduating Seniors on Sunday, May 22. The deadline for lunch reservations and submitting your student s Senior picture for the bulletin is May 2. If you know your student would like to participate in this special morning, please Becca, bbrown@statesborofirst.com. Vacation Bible School - June Every year our students do a fantastic job serving our Children s ministry through Vacation Bible School. If your student would like to sign up to help again this year, please let Becca know, bbrown@statesborofirst.com. Students will need to arrive each morning by 8:40AM and will be dismissed around 12:15PM. First Sundays Are For Food Bank Please note your calendars for the first Sunday of each month, and bring non-perishable food for the Statesboro Food Bank. Cereals, peanut butter, rice, dried milk, canned meats, fruits, vegetables, and soups are always good choices. Red wagons for your donation are placed in the Narthex and near the entrance to the Fellowship Hall. This is one more way our church lives out our vision statement: To glorify God and love others, through worship, study and service.
