1 FREEMASONRY 1. Freemasonry rightly claims to be a religion. Lodges are regarded as holy ground, and are supposed to face due east. Its quest is for knowledge of union with God, its standards of worship and prayers are to a divine person, and its members are prepared for the Grand Lodge in the sky. The largest percentage of its membership has been deceived concerning its central deity which is anti-god and anti- Christ. 2. The central deity of Freemasonry is an object of satanic syncretism in which the Jehovah of the Bible is blasphemously linked with mythological demonic deities. Worship is there fore idolatrous, and brings Freemasons directly under the curse of God. 3. Holders of the highest degrees in Freemasonry are committed to the belief that Lucifer alone is God. They exalt the one whom God has thrown out of his presence, and for whom the lake of fire has been prepared as eternal punishment. 4. Freemasons who profess to be Christian cause the curse of God to fall also upon their families and their churches because of their gross and blasphemous idolatry. 5. Demonic bondages and dominations in families of Lodge members emphasizes the great need for the visible church to be cleansed from all Freemason associations, and all family members delivered from demonic oppression. Masonic Trinkets, Tokens and Trouble! Part of the fascination and the danger of Masonry is in its use of symbols and tokens (ritual gestures). The danger comes first from the fact that many of these things are occult; and secondly, they are used to perpetuate a good-old-boy system of favoritism in business and government. This is how Masons recognize one another without a word being spoken. First, there are the famous rings, tie tacks and lapel pins. Some of these are obvious, like the Square and Compass. They symbolize the human reproductive organs, locked in coitus (when displayed together). Others are a bit more subtle, and some are quite fiendish. In the York Rite, there are lesser known symbols in the jewelry. One is the keystone, which is from the three lower degrees. It is supposedly the stone which the builders rejected, which became headstone of the corner (Psalm 118:22). It is from the Mark Master (fourth degree) and represents Hiram Abif, the Masonic Christ figure, who supposedly carved the keystone. 1

2 It is a trapezoidal stone with a double circle engraved within it. Inside the circle are the letters H.T.W.S.S.T.K.S. This stand for Hiram, the widow s son, sent to King Solomon. 2 (see illustration 1 ). This entire concept denigrates Jesus in favor of the Masonic hero, Hiram. The Bible makes it clear that Jesus is the stone referred to in Psalm 118 (See Matthew 21:42, Mark 12:10.) 1 York Rite Keystone (Mark Master) 2 Royal Arch Tau Cross Another common York Rite symbol is the Tau cross. (see illustration 2 ) This distinctive cross, which looks like the letter T, is actually the symbol of the pagan slain and risen god, Tammuz (Ezekiel 8: It is a symbol for just another counterfeit Masonic Christ. 3 Templar Symbol The other York Rite jewelry you may see is the Templar symbol. (see illustration 3 ) It is a large Maltese cross with a circle in the center. Inside the circle is a red Latin cross within a crown. Around the arms of the cross is the Commandery motto, In Hoc Signo Vinces. (In this sign, conquer!) 4

3 THE BAPHOMET CROSS 4 Scottish rite or Baphomet Cross Although this may seem harmless enough, the motto is originally attributed to the emperor Constantine, who used it in conjunction with a supposedly heavenly vision to begin the subversion and politicization of Biblical Christianity into the false, apostate Alexandrian cult. 5 5 Shriner Pin A similar shell game is played with the word, sign, as in the Eastern Star with the phrase, his star in the east. The sign Constantine referred to was NOT a Christian cross, but a kind of X which had both Christian and pagan associations. In modern magic, it is the sign of the slain and risen Egyptian god, Osiris 7 (another version of the slain and risen Hiram Abif). Again Masonry has downgraded Jesus and replaced Him with its own Christ. A Masonic symbol seen less frequently is the 33 cross because it appertains only to the highest degrees. It is more commonly called the Crusader s Cross or the Jerusalem Cross. (see illustration 4 ) It was supposedly worn by the first Grand Master of the Knights Templar, Godfrey de Bouillon, after he liberated Jerusalem from the Muslims.

4 This symbol is on the hat of the Sovereign Grand Commander of all 33 Masons in a very slightly modified form. It is part of the magical signature of Aleister Crowley, the supreme Satanist of this century! It is also found as the logo of the new Catholic Bible, the Jerusalem Bible! THE SIGN OF THE CRESCENT Another more common, yet sinister jewel Masons wear is the Shriner pin. (see illustration 5 ) Although this comes in several styles, it usually is some form of a crescent combined with a scimitar. This identifies the wearer as a Shriner, either a 32 Mason or a Knight Templar. Aside from its witchcraft associations, the crescent is the sacred symbol of Islam, a false religion and one of the most serious rivals to Christianity! The scimitar is a sword developed by the Islamic armies. It spreads the gospel of Islam, that There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is his prophet. Instead of the usual preaching techniques, the Muslims had a unique approach. It was called jihad, or Holy War. The scimitar is the ultimate symbol of the jihad. This sword was used to cut off the heads of those who refused to bow down to Allah, including millions of Christians over the centuries! Would you want to wear on your lapel a symbol of the slaughter of countless Christians? PHOENIX RISING In the Scottish Rite, the premier symbol is the double-headed eagle. This is the most common icon of 32. Although it has association with 18 th century Prussian royalty, most Mason authorities agree it is ultimately a symbol of a mythic bird known as the Phoenix. The eagle is also associated by Albert Pike with the Egyptian god Mendes. (Remember the satanic Goat of Mendes? This bird (called the Benue by ancient Egyptians is said to live 500 years, burn itself to ashes on a funeral pyre, and then rise from the ashes in its youth to live another cycle of 500 years. It is a common symbol of reincarnation (an occult and witchcraft doctrine) and immortality. This is a reflection of the Mason s belief in immortality (but AGAIN, without Jesus!) The Phoenix is a false symbol of a false and Christless resurrection, the resurrection of the damned (John 5:29)! The two heads on the bird, pointing in opposite directions, represent the Masonic (Gnostic doctrine of the necessity of both good and evil, light and darkness, which is dualism a dogma contrary to the Bible. Manly P. Hall writes that this eagle represents the Supreme Hierophant (High Priest), a perfect being in which all opposites are reconciled. He states that the only man who may wear this symbol is one who is born again and has approached the throne of divinity. He is more than a man yet less than a god; therefore he is a godman. This obviously is NOT referring to the Christian experience. It is Masonry s pagan substitute becoming a godman.

5 A VERY DIRTY JOKE! For Masons who wish to conceal their membership from non-masons, but still advertise it to their Lodge brothers, there is a special pin (or tie tack) they can wear. It looks like an upside down golf club with two balls near the top. 6 Many people assume the person is a golfing enthusiast, but it is actually a visual Masonic pun. This is call the Two Ball Cane, and is a pun on the secret password of a Master Mason, Tubalcain. It indicates that the man wearing the pin is a Master Mason, but it would not be recognized by a non-mason. It is also an all-two-obvious pun of the god of Masonry, the male reproductive organ! Nice, eh?...especially when men wear this wretched thing to church on Sunday! 6 The Two-ball Cane (Tubalcain Pin) THAT APRON! The apron is one of the best know identifications of a Mason. It is usually not worn in public, except for Masonic events like open installations of officers (a major recruiting tool), cornerstone layings, or funerals. There are actually many kinds of aprons, but we will only mention a few of them. Masons receive a special plain white Lambskin apron when they attain their Master Mason degree. Nowadays, they are usually lined with plastic to keep them clean, and are seldom worn until the Mason s death and burial. At meetings, most Masons put on a white, cotton apron from a box at the door of the Lodge room. It is a generic, white, all-purpose worn by the vast majority of Masons unless they go up the ladder of degrees or become Lodge officers. Officer aprons are fancy, and are often made of leather and trimmed in blue velvet with the tool (square, plumb, level, etc.) pertaining to the office embroidered upon them. Grand Lodge officers aprons are fancier, with silver tassels and balls. From state to state, the officers aprons are different, but they will contain occult symbols, like all-seeing eyes, the twin pillars, and the square and compasses. A Past Master of a Lodge also

6 gets a special apron which he can keep. His apron has a picture of the sun-god, Ba al, surrounded by a compass. The older officer s aprons (from ) were incredibly ornate, and quite beautiful, but crawling with magical symbolism. Even the simplest Masonic apron is designed to be an occult tool. Although the Mason is never told this, it goes back to the fig leaf apron which Adam and Even made in the Garden of Eden to cover their nakedness. God cast aside those aprons (Genesis 3:21) because they were symbols of man s attempt to make restitution for his own sins. Instead, God killed an animal, thus shedding blood, and made them coats of skin. He was teaching Adam and Eve that without the shedding of blood there is no covering for sin. The Masonic apron, just like its fig leaf ancestor, is an attempt to walk around that important spiritual reality. Actually, in temple Mormonism, Satanism and ceremonial magic, aprons are the symbols of priesthood of Lucifer. Satan has Masons wearing the skin of the lamb and trusting in it, instead of trusting in the blood of THE LAMB! What mockery! SIGNS AND TOKENS Masons may identify themselves through cryptic words or gestures that are too numerous to catalog completely. However, it may be helpful to know some basic ones. First, Masons usually identify themselves by shaking hands. A pressure with the thumb on the space between the second and third knuckle of the other person s hand usually is sufficient to identify oneself as a Master Mason. When a handshake is not possible (as in a courtroom), a Mason might approach the bench by the: three upright regular steps (stepping) off with your left foot one full step, and bring the heel of your right to the hollow of your left foot; now step off with your right foot, and bring the heel of the left in the hollow of your right foot; then step off with your left foot, and bring both heels together. It sounds complicated, but any Masonic officer has done it a thousand times, and can make it look as natural as can be. Another way is through phrases, either simple or complex, depending on the circumstances. For example, a Masonic defendant in court might say, I was hoping to get a SQUARE deal, your honor, with just a shade of emphasis on the word, square. He could also say he is on the LEVEL. These phrases are part of normal conversation, but with the right inflection, the other Mason understands.

7 The same lines could be used in bargaining for a deal on a car, or a home. Going to a jewelry store to buy gemstones, I would say to the manager, I hear I can get a square deal here. He (if he didn t know me to be a Mason personally) might say, I see that you are a traveling man. I would reply, I am. I travel from west to east and from east to west again. He might ask Why did you leave the west and travel to the east? I would respond, In search of that which was lost. That would do it. He would know I was a Master Mason, and I could usually get my gems for his cost! That may seem harmless in a minor business transaction, but imagine what would happen if this was done in a court of law! And it is being done, everyday! Sign of a Master Mason 7 Grand Hailing Sign of Distress Another phrase (or gesture) which is only to be used in extreme situations is the Grand Masonic Hailing Sign of Distress. Our Masonic defendant in court might bury his head in his hands at some point and cry, Oh Lord, my god, is there no help for the widow s son? Although that might sound a bit odd to the average listener, it could be understood as a cry of anguish. If a Masonic judge or juror heard it, they would be honor bound (by a blood oath) to acquit such a person, or at least fight for a hung jury! The gesture which accompanies this (or it can be given alone, if necessary) is for the person to raise his arms over his head 7 (almost as in a hands up position) and then lowering them in

8 three stages, pivoting the forearms at the elbow until they are perpendicular to the floor, palms down. Any Mason, seeing that gesture, (or hearing the above words) would be oath-bound to do anything possible to save the other Mason from danger, up to, but not including, the loss of his own life! Freemasons Curse Themselves, Their Families and Their Churches They have set up their detestable idols in the house that bears my Name and have defiled it. Jeremiah 7:30 To readers who are practicing Freemasons, this chapter heading may be highly offensive. To unsuspecting relatives, and those who may benefit from the social and welfare services of the Masonic Lodge, it may cause shock and alarm. The stark truth of this statement will unfold as we look at the mass of evidence available from Masonic literature and its spiritual casualties. Freemasons are members of The Free and Ancient Order of Masons, a continuation of the English stonemasons guild of the Middle Ages. It is though that the first lodge was established in Scotland in The first United Grand Lodge was formed at the Goose and Gridiron Tavern in London, England in After becoming firmly established in the United Kingdom, the lodge spread to each of the colonies established by Great Britain, and the United States of America which is now believe to have three and a half million members, a great many of who are professing Christians. In fact, most non-communist countries now have temples, orders, hospitals, and social institutions prominently displaying the sign of the square and the compasses. Although the Masonic Lodge, as it is popularly known, is regarded as a secret society, its beliefs and practices have been well documented by its own members, and well researched by others with old charges permeated by Roman Catholicism, and allusions to Noah s Ark, rather than to Solomon s Temple. Evicting Demonic Intruders and Breaking Bondages Stephen Knight in his explosive exposé of the secret world of the Freemasons, The Brotherhood (Granada), refers to a dechristianisation process accomplished by the Constitutions of Dr. James Anderson sponsored by the 3 rd Grand Master, the Reverend Dr. Theophilus Desaguliers in The name Jesus was then omitted from prayers, and a supposedly long-lost name of God was introduced. Blood-curdling oaths to maintain secrecy became part of degree initiation rites, and over a period of time, the rituals crystallized around Solomon s Temple and the myth of the supposed murder of one Hiram Abiff, the chief architect.

9 Freemasonry claims to be a religion. Probably the most respected exponent of its principles and practices in Dr. Albert G. Mackay, a former High Priest of the General Grand chapter of the USA. The following quotations are from his Encyclopedia of Freemasonry. Masonry is an eminently religious institution and on this ground should the religious Mason defend it... The religion of Freemasonry is not Christianity. If Freemasonry were simply a Christian institution, the Jew and Moslem, the Brahman and the Buddhist could not conscientiously partake of its illumination: but its universality is its boast. In its language citizens of every nation may converse; at its altars men of all religions may kneel; to its creed, disciples of every faith may subscribe. The central religious Deity who claims the worship of Jew and Gentile, Hindu, Buddhist and Christian alike is carefully veiled with ambiguity. Members of all religious persuasions are encouraged to believe that their particular deity is indeed the one known by the initials TGAOTU. The members of the first three orders to which the highest percentage of members belongs, The Entered Apprentice, The Fellow Craft, and The Mastor Mason, are told that the letters stand for The Grand Architect of the Universe. It is also known as The Grand Architect of the Universe. It is also known as The Grand Geometrician, and Universal Ruler. Christians who believe that this deity is Jesus Christ are being deceived into committing idolatry. Unless a Master Mason is invited to take higher degrees, and reaches the thirteenth degree of The Royal Arch (of Enoch), he may never learn the real name of the Masonic deity. England is a possible exception to this rule as the special revelation is sometimes made on completing the third degree. In practical terms this means that perhaps two-thirds of the membership are deliberately kept from knowing the truth, and compromise themselves as worshippers of TGAOTU, neither Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist, nor Christian. The Encyclopedia Britannica states that in 1780 Masonic Lodges established relationships with The Illuminati. This organization was founded by Adam Weishauptin 1776, after he had visited Egypt and imbibed Egyptian mysticism. The Illuminati s all-seeing eye of spiritual light, features also in Freemasonry, and at the apex of the pyramid on all one dollar notes in the currency of the United States of America. With that mystic basis, the order also claims to draw consecration from the faith of Abraham, prayers of King David, and the sacrifices of King Solomon. Members are promised after death, acceptance in The Grand Lodge in the sky. The identity of the Masonic deity Phase One J. Edward Decker Jnr. In his booklet The question of Freemasonry quotes from Freemason literature: Man is a god in the making and as in the mystic myths of Egypt, on the potter s wheel he is being molded. When his light shines out to lift and preserve all things, he receives the triple crown of godhead and joins the Master Masons who, in their

10 robes of Blue and Gold, are seeking to dispel the darkness of night with the triple light of the Masonic Lodge. This is called great knowledge and wisdom comes from understanding the secret name of the Deity of Masonry. This is JAHBULON, also known as JAOBULON. Just as the Hebrews knew the sacred name of Jehovah as JHVH, so the Masons use the letters JBO rather than speak their sacred name. JAHBULON, is a humanistic syncretism of: JAY a Hebrew and Chaldee shortened name for Jehovah which features in the word Hallelujah. His name is Jah (KJV Psalm 68:4). BUL a Syriac word meaning Lord, or powerful. Commentators agree that this word is an abbreviation of BAAL, just as Jeremiah uses BEL (Jeremiah 50:2). Baal was a Babylonian, Syrian, and Canaanite idol-representation of Satan, and was a curse to the Hebrews in the land of promise. ON which is generally taken to be an abbreviation for the ancient Egyptian god, OSIRIS, god of the underworld. The composition of the name Jahbulon exposes the blasphemous, idolatrous, and demonic nature of the real deity masquerading behind the deceptively bland titles and descriptions of the Bible s Jehovah. This is not usually Learned until advanced degrees are reached. For example, during chapter sessions of the Royal Arch degree (13 th ), an altar cloth is used on which syllables of the names of Jehovah and the Freemason idolatrous deity are made up from cut out letters (see illustration). When the chapter closes, the letters are again mixed up. Word Manipulation The Grand Masonic Lodge of South Australia has published a leaflet in an attempt to refute anti- Freemasonry statements. Its arguments are far from convincing. For example, most Bibles introduce God and creation in ten unambiguous words: in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1). To say the same thing, the Freemasons ramble on with paragraphs of obscurantist wording in order to attract people of all faiths: The Great Architect of the Universe acknowledging that he is the designer and planner of the universe. The Grand Geometrician of the Universe implying that, as the Laws of Geometry govern the erection of buildings, so God s Laws of Nature govern the Universe.

11 Impressive words, but hardly honoring to the personality and holiness of God who made us in his own likeness. But worse is to come: The Great Observer stating that His all seeing eye oversees all that happens in His world. We are invited to believe that it is God s all-seeing eye which watches all financial transactions involving the American dollar bill, peers from certain documents of the Masonic and Oddfellows Lodges, and woodenly stares from carvings on certain antique furniture! A modern song sums it up well God is watching from a distance. Than there is this: The Most High affirming that His is above all else and The True and Living God Most High declaring that for the Freemason God is not an idol made with human hands but a living God above all else who has said Thou shalt have no other gods before Me. Of course idols are not limited to those who are hand-made. Jahbulon (JBO) is a conceptual and syncretistic creation of human minds, and cannot be identified with the Bible Jehovah, as Freemasons do not acknowledge and Holy Spirit or Jesus Christ. In fact, the name of Jesus is despised, and never mentioned by loyal Freemasons. A past member who had renounced his vows and left the lodge asking that his name be struck from the register came for prayer. He told us that he had frequently heard lodge members say blasphemously, We don t bother about the boy, we go straight to the Father. Others have said that they have never heard the name of Jesus used in any prayer. As no one can approach God the Father except through Jesus Christ (John 14:6), the only other father open to direct approach is of course, the devil (John 8:44). The term Fatherhood of God is used in a non-personal generic sense, meaning that all humans are his children. But we believers know that God s family is entered only by being born from above (John 1:12). The Sacred Writings of a Freemason s Faith Although the Bible is held to be a sacred writing (even to special editions of Masonic Bibles), only a few carefully selected passages are used which support Masonic mythological beliefs, and do not offend members of non-christian faiths. Their religiously orientated ceremonies include Bible references (particularly in relation to the building of Solomon s Temple), legend, spiritual mumbo jumbo, and outright occultic practices. The publicity leaflet continues: The Freemason considers the sacred writing of his faith the unerring standards of truth and justice, and regulates his life and actions by its precepts. Those sacred writings teach him the important duties he owes to God, to his neighbor and to himself. This leaves each Freemason open to revere the sacred writings of his own religious persuasion. To the professing Christian this means the Bible. To the orthodox Jew, the Torah and Talmud. To the Hindu, the Bhagavad Gita (part of the Mahbharata). To the Muslim, the Koran, and to the Latter Day Saints, the Book of Mormon. Freemasonry offends no one s religious conscience.

12 Edmond Ronayne, a Past Master of a Chicago Lodge, writes these devastating words in his, Master s Carpet: All my experience in the out of Masonic Lodges has gone to establish the fact in my mind that Freemasonry, in all its departments, is the most corrupt and wicked, and contains the greatest amount of falsehood of any institution on the face of the globe. It is positively and absolutely selfish in every single element of its pagan composition, and can truthfully lay no more claim to charity, benevolence or goodness of any other name or description than could say, the heathen organizations which Christian civilization has long since banished from the world. With this in mine it is easy to agree with the statement of a Freemason Anglican vicar who wrote Light Invisible, A Freemason s answer to Darkness Visible Britons Publishing Co. 1952), under the pseudonym Vindex. I for one can never understand how anyone who takes an exclusive view of Christ as only complete revelation of God s truth can become a Freemason without suffering from spiritual schizophrenia. Professing Christians who claim to be loyal Freemasons are in as much danger of God s judgment as Lot who lived in the city of Sodom without taking part in the evil of homosexuality. Sodom and five other cities, Lot s home, and his wife were all destroyed. Lot and his two daughters were saved only because the angels almost dragged them out of the city to safety (Genesis 19:16). The warnings to those who associate with evil in both Old and New Testaments are obvious and ominous: 1. Deuteronomy 11:26-28 See I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse the blessing if you Obey the commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today; the curse if you disobey the commands of the Lord your God and turn from the way that I command you today by following other gods, which you have not known Judges 17:15...They followed worthless idols, and themselves became worthless... 3,. 2 Corinthians 6:14-17 Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols?... Therefore come out from

13 them and be separate says the Lord. Tough no unclean thing and I will receive you John 5:21 Dear children keep yourselves from idols. ( false gods Amplified Bible, New English Bible) Probably because of its alleged biblical associations, Freemasonry has attracted a considerable following from both clergy and church members. Some evangelical ministers have suffered much discouragement and even opposition from office bearers and members who have been active lodge members. One such minister in Victoria, Australia, preached against the lodge, and promptly lost half the male members of his congregation. He, his family, and church, were then sent to Coventry by the Masonic shopkeepers who were in a majority in the community. The Masonic net is spread far and wide. There are the The Shriners, The Elks, and Demolay for fathers and sons. For the ladies there is the Order of the Easter Star which has as a badge, the horned star of Satan. For the young ladies there are Daughters of Job and Daughters of the Nile. Even the girls are catered for with Rainbow Girls. Both men and women are able to join Amaranth, and The White Star. From contacts with people the Masonic Lodge. One lady attending a seminar on deliverance said that as a child she sat on a goat to take vows. The Oddfellows also use the apron and a five pointed star which feature in the Masonic Lodge. A six week old baby born with brain damage was found to have a heritage of Freemasonry. She was prayed over as she slept.. There was only the slightest movement until spirits of infirmities and sicknesses were bound, broken and released. The baby then opened her eyes and began to thrash around with all her limbs, restlessly moving her head from side to side. During a deliverance seminar, a participant submitted a question which surely provokes some thought. It was, Freemasonry could the following be its effects? - My father was a Freemason also a Christian. I m not sure that he s ever renounced it, but don t think he goes to any meeting now. - My brother, a missionary, was martyred in 1962 (aged 26). - My sister died of cancer aged 18 in My niece, aged 20 killed in a motor accident My mother had a stroke in My brother had a stroke in 1985 (aged 46). At a church camp, five men who had been Freemasons, repented and renounced membership with the lodge. They were released, and God immediately began to bring some beautiful reconciliation between some of them and their teenage children.

14 From acquaintance with a large number of Christians who have been released from the dominant spirits of Freemasonry over recent years, a clear pattern of demonic activity has emerged. The results have been the same whether the consellee has been a lodge member of or is a descendent of a member. The following demonic powers need to be dealt with after personal or family Freemason vows and curses have been specifically renounced (in addition to the general renunciation of all Satan s bondages and dominations): (a) The spirit of Freemasonry and the curse of the Luciferan doctrine. (b) A spirit, or spirits of Anti-Christ. (c) A spirit of idolatry. (d) Spirits of witchcraft and occultism (in severe cases, a spirit of poltergeist may be troublesome. (e) Spirits of mockery. (f) The all seeing third eye in the forehead (an Illuminati symbol) may manifest if there has been any heavy family involvement. (g) A spirit of mental confusion. (h) A spirit of spiritual apathy. (i) A spirit of emotional hardness. (j) Spirits of doubt, skepticism, and unbelief. (j) Spirits of infirmities, sicknesses, and allergies (a most frequent manifestation). Where family membership has been handed down for a long time, and there has been special dedication to the lodge, spirits may cause special destruction in health or financial matters. (l) A spirit of false religion. Believers who have broken with Freemasonry and renounced their vows, should write to the lodge asking that their names be deleted from the membership roll. It is also important that all personal regalia (or those handed down in the family) should be destroyed. Associated clothing should be burnt, and metal objects including swords defaced, or smashed and disposed of. Relatives are sometimes superstitious about disposing of these family relics, but they are cursed, and if retained will bring the judgment of God upon the household (Deuteronomy 7:25-26).
