He used everyday things, things they knew and understood, to teach the about God and lvation. It is a great way to teach our children, as well. Jesus taught His discis to be servants. The "Disciship Bread" is a tool for inistry to others. The children will learn to give of theselves, their tie, and their love. You will spend 10 days praying for each person that God puts on your heart to inister to and to give the "Disciship Bread" to. When the bread is ready, you will visit that person, share the gospel with the and give the the freshly baked bread. Offer the a starter bag of "Disciship Bread" that they can use to share the bread that feeds the body and the Good News of our Lord and vior Jesus Christ, who is the true "Bread of Life". They ay decide to share with others like you are doing or bake and eat what you give the. Either way, they will ost likely tell others about your visit. You will be going on fun-filled Mission Journeys and aking and baking 10 batches of great tasting bread. The harvest is God's! Each cycle of bread is a NEW Mission Journey. The Mission Field is not just in far off places, it is in your faily, neighborhood, and town. Missions are iportant for our children to learn about and to participate in. Since you will be doing these as a faily, it is even ore special, and will ake wonderful and lasting eories! Praying is a habit that needs to be a part of a faith filled life. So whether it is well established in your hoe or needs soe ore structure, this unit study will be of great value. Speaking in front of others takes soe practice, and being a witness for Jesus is a life long goal. The Mission Journeys give your children this opportunity with a partner and back up (you). Each student will participate as he is able. Dressing up and acting out Jesus feeding the,000 before an audience of faily and friends will be a lot of fun...and not just for the youngest of your children! God does the rest by ultiplying your efforts. That's what He does. He is responsible for the harvest. We siply obey and plant the seeds!

3 . Do I have enough tie? YES!!!!!!! Yes, again, because, like ost unit studies, you ay pick and choose which of the activities you want to include in your study. The following chart will help you keep track of activity days and bread days. You will notice soe nubers on the chart are in bold. That is because they are activity days. Reeber you ay ake the decision on what day works best for your schedule. These are just suggested days for the activities. When I first started hoeschooling, I thought I had to do it all, on the exact days suggested by the author of the curriculu and exactly the way suggested. What pressure that put on us! And it took ost of the fun out of what should have been a lot of fun! So don't fall into that indset. Praying for the peo you will share with on your Mission Journey, the issionaries (you) and the Mission Journey itself is an every day activity and so is squeezing the bag of batter. Practicing the Meory verses is also an every day activity. The bread days are written in red on the schedule. These days can be oved forward or backward a day and not effect the Disciship Bread, however be sure that you do accoplish the bread instructions for Day and Day during each bread cycle. The length of tie needed does vary with the day, but a ball park figure is given. Day 1 of the first Mission Journey is the day the starter bag of the recipe is prepared. Day 1 and Day 10 are the sae day after the first Mission Journey and they are listed as:. It's best to allow several hours for Mission Journey Day, because of baking, packaging and sharing. Day is the day that extra ingredients are added to the bag of batter. It is also the suggested day for the lesson and craft. This will take a cou of hours. Any tie Day or Day falls on a Sunday or a Holiday, siply squeeze the bag and resue the schedule on the next day, as if you had not skipped a day. Day is the day that the ap is prepared. Map Day requires about 0 inutes. If you should see day in bold, instead of day, it is because day has landed on a Sunday. Do Day activities on Day of that Mission Journey and siply squeeze the bag on Day. The sae procedure should be followed when you see Day instead of Day. Beginning with Mission Journey Two, Day will be used to record all the details of the previous Mission Journey in the journals. This will also require about 0 inutes tie. God has blessed us with Sunday as a day of rest, and we and the bread ay both rest on those days. This sae procedure ay be followed for a holiday or any day that your faily needs to take off.

5 . Can the whole faily participate? Yes!!!!!!!!! Yes again! There is soething age appropriate for every eber of the faily. I have suggested different tasks for each level, but you are the teacher and parent. You are the best judge of what each of your children will benefit fro doing. Level 1 - preschool through nd grade Level - rd grade through th grade Level - th grade through 1th grade It's always a good idea to check the supplies list ahead of tie to be sure you have everything you need! Reeber, this is a journey, and a wonderful opportunity to grow in the Lord. You will get to share Jesus and potentially feed,000 peo just like Jesus did, even though it takes us a LITTLE longer! Your "Mission", "should you decide to accept", begins with PRAYER and the starter recipe of "Disciship Bread". Your "Mission" is to sow seeds for Jesus, and to have fun doing it! Proverbs 1: tells us: "A erry heart doeth good like a edicine", and that's one of God's proises! So have FUN! Not only will you be sowing seeds into the lives of the peo God sends you to on your Mission Journeys, but you will be sowing seeds into the hearts of the wonderful children God has given you! In I Corinthians : Paul tells us: "I have planted, Apollos watered; but God giveth the increase". So reeber...the harvest is God's job!!! That doesn't sound so hard, does it? So Let's Get Started!

6 MISSION JOURNEY ONE "The bread of God is He which coeth down fro heaven and giveth life unto the world." John : Day 1 Read Matthew 1:1 1 out loud. Meory Verse: John : You ay eorize fro whichever version of the Bible your faily prefers. Encourage the children to find and read the scriptures fro their own Bible. It helps the get failiar with their own Bible and ephasizes that it is God's word when it is read directly fro the Bible. Activity: We will be studying photography. If you have a caera, you will be able to take photos throughout the unit study. Why photography and what does photography have to do with Missions? Photography was not around when Jesus fed the,000, but because the Mission Journeys were recorded in the Bible, we know about the now. In this sae way soeone ight be blessed and learn about Jesus by seeing photos of your ission journeys as well as reading about the. Lights! Caera! Action!: Those words were once a very well known and often used phrase. Peo were starting to take hoe ovies of their failies and friends. ovie caeras were popular and inside a building or at night, it was very iportant to use special lights. Soe of the lights that were used with ovie caeras were so bright that they seeed to be alost like headlights of cars. The lights were ounted on a bar and the caera was connected below the bar. Super caeras were also in use and they were a little different. I have included a photo of a Super caera.
