3 18 ANNOUNCEMENTS We thank Georgia Witt for being with us this morning. Allen, Faith and Maribeth are raising money to go to the National Youth Gathering 2019.We will be raising all the money to go. Registration for the gathering is $400 each. This covers their backpacks,. Bible, all of the activities at the gathering. $300 each for our flight from Illinois to Minneapolis. We then have budgeted for $35 a day for food. Hotel cost is being covered by Maribeth s mom's church. Nationals only happened every 3 years and we will be worshiping with 25,000 youth and adults. Do you actually look forward to the Last Day? There are many things or events to which we look forward with anticipation. We may even say, I can t wait! for the day of graduation from high school or college; the wedding day; the first day on a new job. Yet we don t say that when anticipating major surgery or the dentist or the loss of a loved one. Today Jesus has us look forward to a reward laid up for us on that day. And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell.
