1 The Parkway church of Christ in Sacramento is very excited to host our 2015 Wonder Woman Conference Friday April 17 through Sunday April 19th, This event is comprised of over 18 sessions of in-depth instruction dealing with issues facing God's woman. Please note, since each woman might be in a different season, the topics in each break-out will reflect that need accordingly. Experience over 18 sessions of in-depth instruction pertaining to issues that women are challenged with today. Our intriguing topics are: The Beauty Shop (All Groups) My Beloved Sister, do you not know how precious and valuable you are? When God designed you, He broke the mold! You were created with a distinct personality and blessed with unique gifts and talents to be used for His glory. The world s definition of beauty doesn t even come close to capturing the essence of who you are in Christ! Come to the Beauty Shop and discover how beautiful you are in God s eyes. Scripture references; Psalm 139:14, Proverbs 31, Ruth 3:11. Malice in Wonderland (All Groups) Because we are fallible human beings, we may at times inadvertently misunderstand one another which may lead to hurt, frustration, or resentment. In this session, we will discuss how to lovingly confront one another for the purpose of restoring relationship. Remember, as Sister s in Christ we are called to learn, love, and LET IT GO!! Scripture references; Matthew 5:23, Ephesians 4:26, Hebrews 12:14 The Preacher s Wife (All Groups) The pressures of working in the ministry are felt by few and misunderstood by most. In her book, The Preacher s Wife, Tonya Saheli gives us a real and rare glimpse of what it s like to live life as the wife of a Minister. This autobiographical book offers support for readers employed in the ministry, guidance for protecting marriages, families, and personal faith, and insight on how members of the Church can support and encourage ministry leaders and their families. The Queen s Speech (All Groups) As Women of Faith we are empowered with the awesome privilege and responsibility to touch the lives of others. God has blessed us with the ability to give birth to children for the purpose of raising a godly nation. In the Bible, Queen Esther demonstrates obedience, takes great risks, and exemplifies humility in

2 order to save her people from annihilation. This session will encourage and inspire women of God to be bold in their faith so that their lives will have a positive impact on others. Scripture reference: Esther Too Good to Leave, Too Bad to Stay (Divorced) The Lord is always here for us and knows just what we need. He has promised to meet us at our well and minister to the deepest parts of our soul. In this session, we will discuss healthy ways to heal and move forward after a divorce. Scripture reference: John 4:7-30 The Proverbs 31 man (Married) It has been said that behind every great man is a great woman. If this is true, then behind every godly man should be the proverbial wife. Wives play a significant role in the spiritual growth and development of the family. This session will focus on what godly women can do to help their husbands draw closer to God. Scripture reference: Proverbs 31 Wonderfully Made: Mind, Body, and Soul (All Groups) In this life we will all face many trials and tribulations; some of these challenges may cause one to experience mental and physical stress, anxiety, or depression. However, we are reminded in Psalm 103 that we serve Jehovah Raphi (the God Who Heals) and He has the power to heal all manner of sickness and disease, including those that impair our mental and emotional well-being. The Purpose Driven Wife (Married) A godly wife has been blessed with the awesome privilege to be a Help-Meet to her husband. She understands that the development of her husband is a process, and is willing to allow God to work through her so that she might inspire him to be all that he can be. A prudent wife understands that what her husband may lack in terms of business, stature, or life experience, she can encourage through prayer, love, patience, and acceptance. Scripture reference: I Samuel 25:3, Proverbs 31 Who Says I m Too Old?? (Seniors) Just because you are advanced in years does not mean God is through with you yet! As a mature woman in the faith, God has blessed you to experience many trials and triumphs in this life. Now the time has come for you to share your faith, love, talents, and wisdom with others. This session will inspire you to consider who you are in Christ and how you can best serve God and others in your golden years. Scripture reference:

3 Ripeful Living (Seniors) My Beloved Sister, God has blessed you to age and mature gracefully. Although you may have a few aches and pains, God is not through with you yet; you have a lot more living to do and need to be fit in order to do it! Now s the time to nurture your mind, body, and spirit take daily walks, join a swim class, go on bike rides, attend a group bible study, visit the sick, or read to children... the possibilities are endless! This session will inspire you to be proactive in your golden years. Scripture reference: I Corinthians 6:19, I Timothy 4:8 Single and Lovin It! (Singles) This session will tackle the ever-annoying and often-asked question by well-intentioned friends and Christians, Why are you still single? The facilitator of this session will dispel myths about singleness, give suggestions for finding joy no matter what our stage in life, and tips on how to support each other and respond to others when that burning question is thrown in our faces. We will discuss biblical principles of being one with God, contentment in our relationship with our heavenly Father, as well as address the insecurities Satan can take advantage of during our time as single women. Singleness comes with its own mix of joys and challenges. Let s discover them together! Text: I Corinthians 7:32-35; Philippians 4:11 Goal Digger (Young Adults) As a young woman in Christ, the Lord has blessed you to be in a growing season. At his stage in your life, you will have opportunities to develop yourself spiritually, further your education, begin a career, develop meaningful relationships, or perhaps even start a family. This session will help you explore ways in which you can set realistic goals and identify people in your life who can help you reach them. Scripture reference: Phil 3:14, I Cor 9:24-26, Joshua 1:8 Pretty Hurts (Young Adults) The Lord knows you and is aware of the challenges you face. He s aware of the mistreatment you ve endured and is able to heal your emotional wounds and restore you self-esteem. In this session, we will discuss how the Lord heals the heart of women who ve been abused, neglected, or misunderstood.

4 Human and Holy (All Groups) Michelle Geoff introduces her first interactive Bible study book, Human and Holy. In her book, Michelle illustrates how Christ lived life as a human being, yet was set apart to do the will of the Father. As image bearers of Christ, we too can accept our human frailties while learning to grow in love and obedience to the will of God. Irreplaceable (Married) The heart of a woman is priceless God has placed within her the capacity to love without limits, to sacrifice beyond measure, and to nurture when she has nothing left to give. This session will encourage women to protect and preserve her heart for God s glory. Scripture reference: Genesis 2 & 3 The Game Exposed (Young Adult) Ladies, do you know how to recognize a man with potential vs. a man who will exploit you? Many young women fall prey to the games men play and end up suffering the consequences for years to come. Although you may be looking for a guy who already has a certain amount of je ne sais quoi, be careful not to pass by the man who may be God s best for you; with your love, patience, and understanding, you just may inspire him to greatness. Scripture reference: Genesis 38 A Word to the Wise (Seniors) As mature women in Christ, you are viewed as pillars of wisdom in the Church. So often your strength and virtue are quietly hidden from others, but its God s desire that you continue to flourish and bear fruit. In this session, you will be encouraged to share your gifts, talents, and wisdom with the Church and your community. Falling in Love with Jesus (Singles) There is no greater joy than as the bride of Christ, bathed in his love. Will take a fresh look at what it means to love how God demonstrates his love for us and how we can express love to him and to others. It is easy to abandon our first love, but God gives us hope and guidance to fall back in love with Jesus. Scripture reference: John 15:9 And this is just the beginning
