1 MORNING PROGRAMME FOR ADULTS ADULT AN ENGAGING THEOLOGIAN WILL HELP US ACCESS AND LEARN FROM THE BIBLE DURING THE MORNING BIBLE TEACHING. After the morning break we can choose from three zones, each digging more into the theme and applying it to our lives. Alternatively specialist sessions run on parenting or church leadership. Also an option is the Prospects special stream. Don t forget the morning is home to Just Looking. This is a relaxed setting with scope for easy conversations for those exploring faith. As we work through the theme material we ll explore national and global game-changing issues and the part our faith can play. HEART ZONE EMS HANCOCK & MARTIN YOUNG How does investing in our relationship with God play a part in changing us and everyone with whom we interact? Make space to encounter God and be changed by his presence. Includes times of worship. These sessions are broadcast live on the TV in your accommodation and some are repeated. 2 WINNING MOVES AS A PARENT ROB PARSONS & KATHARINE HILL 11:45AM-12:45PM INDOOR SPORTS The way we parent can really be a game changer. These three practical (and fun!) sessions will give you some Winning Moves in the all-important task of bringing up the next generation. DAY 2 GIVING OUR KIDS A FLYING START Our children look to us to meet their need for love and security. Discover the power of words and why traditions, memories and laughter - help give a child a firm foundation and build up their sense of worth and acceptance. DAY 3 SETTING BOUNDARIES & CHOOSING BATTLES Children s behaviour can be a difficult battleground for parents. We ll be looking at different styles of parenting, and passing on some winning moves in setting and defending boundaries - and choosing which battles to fight. PROSPECTS STREAM CELEBRATION FOR ADULTS WITH LEARNING DISABILITIES 11:45AM-1PM In conjunction with Prospects, each morning there is a celebration intended specifically, but not exclusively, for people with a learning disability and those on the autistic spectrum. Joyful worship will be led with sensitivity and the teaching will be delivered through uncomplicated words and gentle explanation. JUST LOOKING GORDON & JANICE TUCK DAYS 2-4: 11:45AM -1PM ARTS & CRAFTS If you re new to faith or not quite there yet, with questions or doubts, come and meet with others in an informal but structured setting. ADULT DAY 4 PASSING ON FAITH AND VALUES Examine the responsibility of sowing seeds of faith in our children s lives, and tips on how to navigate the pressures of the teenage years, encouraging them into independence - and keeping the relationship strong wherever they are with their own faith. 19 MINEHEAD THREE

Using phones and cameras (bring your own!) we are going to explore what it means to make photographs in a world where we are completely saturated with visual images. STORYTELLING BOB HARTMAN 3:45PM REDS How do you creatively retell a Bible story - particularly one you ve told a hundred times before? That s the question Bob will try to answer in this workshop, using stories from several of his new collections, including The Play-Along Bible. ARTISTIC RELEASE A TIME TO LISTEN, REFLECT & CREATE ANITA COLLIER 3:45PM SUNSPLASH Be encouraged to release your unique creative voice with childlike freedom. Anita will explain the story behind some of her work and the honest, often surprising journey alongside, followed by an invitation to prayerfully engage in a creative activity. Based on the popular training DVD produced in conjunction with Elevation Music which has become the basis for teaching by many worship teams. PUPPETS ONE WAY UK 3:45PM THE HUB Puppets are a proven fun and effective method of communicating the gospel to children and adults alike. This practical workshop will give you hands-on experience using different puppets to share the gospel message in a fun and interactive way. MULTIMEDIA IN WORSHIP TIM HORTON 3:45PM REDS The need for effective use of multimedia in worship continues to grow, at the same time as the technology continues to develop. This session takes away some of the mystique behind the technical jargon and suggests practical ways to design and implement systems which are future-proofed and yet easy to operate. DAY 4 PRESENTING GEMMA HUNT 3:45PM SUNSPLASH Come and listen to Gemma s stories of working in children s television; from how it all began to the incredible experiences she s had on and off camera. Getting to grips with the writing styles can transform how we understand it and help us to know how to apply it. A practical session on biblical genres for everyone who wants to read the Bible for all it s worth. We will explore; practising safe, caring and good quality prayer ministry; the approach and qualities required of those praying; and practical issues of being a part of a prayer ministry team.
