7 Exceptions? Are all men totally depraved? Psalm 143:2- Do not bring your servant into judgment, for no one living is righteous before you. II Chronicles 6:36- There is no one who does not sin. Isaiah 53:6- All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned-every one- to his own way. I John 1:8, 10- If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. Mark 10:18, Romans 3:23, Romans 11:32, etc.

8 To what Extent? Mark 7:21- For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, etc. Psalm 5:9-. Their inmost self is destruction Jeremiah 17:9- The heart is deceitful above all things, who can understand it? Ecclesiastes 9:3- The hearts of the children of man are full of evil, and madness is in their hearts while they live, and after that they go to the dead. Proverbs 28:26- Whoever trusts in his own heart is a fool.

9 TULIP U- Unconditional ElectionPredestination. No one did anything to be chosen. God chose some to receive salvation and the rest to remain in their sin.

10 Arguments for Unconditional Election (Ephesians 1, Romans 9) John 6:37- All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and whoever comes to Me I will never cast out. John 6:65- No one can come to Me unless it is granted by the Father. John 15:16- You did not choose Me, but I chose you. Acts 13:48- As many as were appointed to eternal life believed. Coming to Jesus is not a condition we meet to qualify for election. It is the result of election. -John Piper

11 Matthew 4:18-22 As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. Come, follow me, Jesus said, and I will send you out to fish for people. At once they left their nets and followed him. Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets. Jesus called them, and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him.

17 TULIPL- Limited Atonement- Christ only died for the Elect. John 3:16- Someone stand and recite this! I John 2:2- My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

18 TULIPI - Irresistible Grace. If God chooses you, there is nothing you can do to not be chosen. You cannot resist the grace of God. Ephesians 4:30- Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God. Acts 7:51- Stiff-necked and resist the Holy Spirit Genesis 6:3- My Spirit shall not strive with man forever I Thessalonians 5:19- Do not quench the Spirit.

19 TULIPP= Perseverance of the Saints Eternal Security, or Once Saved Always Saved. Romans 8: For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

20 John 10:28- They shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. Hebrews 12:2-...Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. Philippians 1:6- being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

21 But what about? Colossians 1: But now he has reconciled you by Christ s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel. Hebrews 3: See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin s deceitfulness. We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original conviction firmly to the very end.
