As we enter into this Christmas season, it s so important that we as believers have a complete understanding of who Christ is, and who we are in Him.

If you re not confident of who you are, the enemy will do his level best to convince you that you re somebody else.

A message from President Kenneth E. Harbaum Merry CHRISTmas Hello and Merry CHRISTmas. As we enter into this Christmas season, it s so important that we as believers have a complete understanding of who Christ is, and who we are in Him. I have been afforded the opportunity to minister in many churches across America and still I come across those who struggle with their identity in Christ. If you re not confident of who you are, the enemy will do his level best to convince you that you re somebody else. Identity theft has plagued our culture to the point that people fear leaving any type of personal information to chance. The attempt to steal someone s identity didn t just become a threat in recent years. It has been a serious offence since the beginning of time. To be honest, it began with Adam and Eve. Adam was created in the image of God. He was God s representative on the earth. When the enemy came to Eve, his purpose was to confuse her God-given identity. Genesis 3:5 says, For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. The truth of the matter was, Adam and Eve were already like God. He created them that way. Adam and Eve forfeited everything they had, including their God-given authority in the earth, because they lost focus of their real identity of being created in God s image. From that time until now, the devil has continued with the same plan of attack and that is to keep us from God s best. I declare that we as the Body of Christ will no longer lose our identity but will take our stand and be what God has created us to be. In meditating on this subject, I recalled the statement that has been said so many times, You re guilty by association. If one can be guilty by association, then in the same manner one ought to be able to be justified by association. When you become identified with Christ, you are identified with all that He is and all He has. That will never change. Let s not forget what 1 John 4:17 says, Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. When we find out who He is, then we know that we have access to what He has. In Isaiah 9:6, the Word says, For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. 2 This verse isn t just for Christmas. It is for us every day. Jesus is still Wonderful. He is still Counselor; The Mighty God; The Everlasting Father; The Prince of Peace. When I remain identified with Him, I have access to His counsel, His peace and so on. Now, we are well into the Christmas season, and people are fast about shopping, going to parties and family get-togethers. During this time it becomes easy to allow what really counts to slip away. As you now know, Christmas is more than what we buy or get. It s about a time of honoring our Lord and Savior. The world has no concept of that, so it s up to us to keep the standard high. Even though this is a wonderful celebrated time for us as believers, the enemy has made it his plan to take away the complete identity of what Christmas represents. For several years now, people have been successful in removing Christ from Christmas. The heartbreaker is, over time His own people have become desensitized to the point that they no longer feel it necessary to keep Christ in Christmas. They too have replaced Him with an X. This has been nothing more than just a violation of identity theft. So, let s not allow ourselves to be overcome with the world s way of doing things, and let us do our part to maintain His and our true identity during these Christmas holidays. 3 A Word from Bishop Cummings 2019 Goal Bishop Timothy & Bonnie Cummings As we enter into 2019 let us teach and do James 4:7 & 8 as a Ministers Fellowship. Then, do it with all our Spirit, Soul, and Body (I Thessalonians 5:23). James 4:7: KJV: Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. The return of Christ is nearer than it has ever been and we have to submit and humble ourselves to God and teach our people to do the same. There are so many things trying to pull us and our people away from what God has given to us, and away from submitting and humbling ourselves to God. We need to be a constant reminder to ourselves and to others to keep our focus on God. We and our people get pulled away by just the day to day tasks that we have to do. There are so many people pulling on all of us that we tend to overlook our Pray Time, Bible Time, and our Relationship Time with God. We need to do what the Bible verse says Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:8 It s tough to resist the devil in our Prayer, Bible, and Relationship Time with God, but we must do it even if we have to get up an hour earlier, or go to bed an hour later so that we can have our time with God. The devil will only flee from you when you resist him; and that has to be our goal in It says in James 4:8: Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Our main goal in 2019 should be to draw nigh to God if we want to stay away from anxiety and worry which causes us to be so uptight that we cannot draw nigh to God. We must get close to God. We must want him to get close to us and that can only be done by resisting the devil and his things and ways. We cannot let our time be divided between the devil and God. It s God or nothing for us. Let us not be torn from our Prayer, Bible and Relationship Time with God in We can only do that by a constant washing of the Word of God. Paul Whitley Missions Director One of the most meaningful verses in the Pauline Epistles to me is Colossians 1:13 (NASB) 13 For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the

5 Paul Whitley Missions Director One of the most meaningful verses in the Pauline Epistles to me is Colossians 1:13 (NASB) 13 For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, I am sure that almost everyone who is reading this article has been already rescued and transferred, but so many around us both in the United States and abroad are still sitting in darkness and are at the lack of mercy of the one who enslaves and comes to steal, kill and destroy. I have many friends, relatives and acquaintances who need to be rescued. Paul tells us in Romans 10:13-15 (NASB) 13 for Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved. 14 How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? 15 How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of good things! The sent part has already been accomplished because Jesus declared in John 17:18 (NASB) 18 As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. We know that those who are sent are not only the disciples but also everyone who believes through their word-that is us. So, if we declare the good news, the Gospel, those who hear will be convicted through Holy Spirit, drawn by the Father and can make the choice to call on the name of the Lord and be saved. The Lord just needs more declarers, preachers and testimony givers. I love the answer Paul gave to King Agrippa in Acts 26:16-18 (NASB) 16 But get up and stand on your feet; for this purpose I have appeared to you, to appoint you a minister and a witness not only to the things which you have seen, but also to the things in which I will appear to you; 17 rescuing you from the Jewish people and from the Gentiles, to whom I am sending you, 18 to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the dominion of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Me. Paul had a call on his life to make it possible for Jesus to rescue people from the domain of Satan, the thief, the destroyer and to transfer them to His kingdom. You and I have that same call as individuals, ministers and as the church-to reconcile sinners to their Father. We are beginning the Season of Christmas. For many of us, this is a very meaningful and joyous time of the year. However, for many others this is a depressing and sad time. They are missing loved ones who have died during the year, they are financially stressed, they are trapped in sin and don t know a way out. You and I have the answer. We have the key to freedom. We just need to take the step of courage and faith, seek them out and tell them that Jesus loves them and He is the reason for the season. Take time out of a hectic, frantic schedule and be observant of those around you that God has placed in your path. Look for Divine Appointments. Invite someone to that special Christmas service that your church is having this month. Go on a rescue mission and bring the captives home. Page 5 of 6

It was a rich time of worship, in depth teaching and wonderful communion. The ministry in India continues to expand as well.

6 New Harvest Ministries Dale & Jeanne Scholten Great things are happening in New Harvest Ministries International as we approach the Christmas Season. Pastor Laban, our Director in Tanzania, has completed his Annual Leadership Conference with pastors, Bible College students and church leadership from across Tanzania and 5 surrounding nations. It was a rich time of worship, in depth teaching and wonderful communion. The ministry in India continues to expand as well. Generous donors have provided the funds to expand the church in Puthukudi to make more room for its growing congregation and a church in Michigan has donated $6000 to construct a new church building in Sriviliputher. Both of these villages are in Tamil Nadu, Southern India. A church in Ohio has pledged $ 3000 for a new water well and a matching funds challenge of $ 1500 has now been met to provide another $ 3000 toward a well in India. Two more remote villages will have fresh, clean water thanks to these generous partners. If you have not returned your 2019 Membership Renewal please send it in before the end of Thank You.
