David Assael This memorial website was created in loving memory of our dearest mother and grandmother Christiana Iyabode Faniran nee Ogunjobi who was born in Nigeria on November 21, 1946 and passed away on August 12, 2007 at the age of 60. She was a great woman who loved her children unconditionally. Mummy, you will live forever in our memories and hearts.

Your mother gave you to experience the forgiveness of God and she will stay with you in your heart forever. I never met her but I know how much you loved and honored her. She must have been great mother! 19 November 21, 1946 My mother was born in Nigeria on November 21, 1946 to Mr & Mrs Ogunjobi from Ilesha. She spent her early years in Kaduna, the Northern part of the country where she learnt to speak Hausa quite fluently. After her primary school days, she moved back to Ibadan with her parents and sisters and brothers and went to boarding school in Ilesha. After leaving secondary school she began working for the ministry where she remained until she met her husband, Anthony Kolawole Faniran aka Tony K/Baba Akofa. She married him in December 1973 and soon after gave birth to her first born, Gbonjubola. Not very long afterwards, she decided to give up her job to become a fulltime housewife. I wish I could say that Mummy was a doctor, a lawyer, a bumpkin billonaireor a philathropist who changed the world but she wasn't. However, she was a knight in shinning armour who gave up all her dreams to raise her four children and equip them with what they need to survive in life and live it to the fullest. She was more than a doctor, a lawyer, a bumpkin billionaire or a philathronpist; she was a heroine, our heroine who was there for us every moment of our lives. We are proud to say we had the Best Mummy in the whole world and she will forever be alive in our hearts. August 12, 2007
