1 LOVED ONES By Terry Stanley Synopsis A mother is temporarily reunited with her daughter after a tragic accident. Through ensuing dialogue we learn they are both deceased. Due to her daughter's lifestyle, the mother thinks her daughter can't get into Heaven, however to the surprise of the mother, she realizes that she is the one who can't enter Heaven (because she never accepted Christ), not her daughter. Scripture: Romans 3:20; 10:9 Ministry Lesson: Salvation is not based on who we are, how nice we are, or what we do. Salvation is based solely on our faith in Jesus Christ. 2 "Loved Ones" 1. EXTERIOR - HEAVEN S GATE LOVED ONES THERE IS A WIDE RIBBON ON THE FLOOR/STAGE TO SEPARATE THE AND DAUGHTER. NEITHER CAN REACH ACROSS THE LINE TO TOUCH EACH OTHER. THE IS STANDING CENTER STAGE RIGHT OF THE DIVIDING LINE (RIBBON) WAITING FOR HER DAUGHTER. SHE IS FANNING HERSELF TO KEEP COOL. My goodness, it sure is warm in here today. I just can't wait to see my baby. (walks around looking at the room, still fanning) DAUGHTER ENTERS. SHE IS UN-NOTICED BY HER. IS GLAD TO SEE HER BUT HOLDS BACK HER EMOTION. Hi, ma. (holding back tears) Oh Tonya. It's been nearly a year. I've missed you so baby, you been okay?.. you all right?.. (ad-lib). Yea mama, I'm fine. I really like your dress. Really! Your father bought this for me (modeling dress). (shocked) Dad?! Yes. After your accident, he treated me like a queen.

3 "Loved Ones" 2. (cont'd) He stayed with me all night and held my hand. (emotional) I never knew he loved me so much. I felt the same way about you. Oh baby, I loved you more than anything else in the world. (Hurt) Why didn't you tell me before my accident? (awkward silence between them) It was all so fast. We were driving home from the movies when the car hit us head-on. We never had time to get out of the way. (Grieved) I know. We found out that it was a drunk driver who killed you, (pause) like one did me. (Beat) But we're together now Tonya. (holding out arms) Baby, I just want to hold you in my arms again. That's not possible. I can't come to you, and you can't come to me. You mean, you're in. (hysterical) No! No! You can't be! Why didn't you listen to me?

4 "Loved Ones" 3. (cont'd) All my life I tried to teach you right from wrong, but you just wouldn't listen. Now look where you are. (wipes tears from eyes)! (painfully trying to explain) Mama, remember Grandma's funeral about 3 years ago? Yes, I remember. I loved Grandma, and I was deeply hurt when she died. I remember the preacher saying that grandma was saved and if we ever wanted to see her again, we must be saved also. I really didn't understand it, but I gave my heart to Jesus during Grandma's funeral. I was hoping that you would do the same. Tonya, I..I was going to, but I was so hurt. I mean, that was my mother lying there. I had no one to comfort me. If you had accepted Jesus, the Holy Spirit would have comforted you as He comforted me. Now you sound like your Grandmother. Always talking about the Lord and how He'll never leave her.
