3 Dearest children, Sister Antonietta Giugliano loved God and loved life and all its colours very deeply. Ever since she was little, she had walked along the path that Jesus had allocated to her, and in her sweetness she attended, above all, to the needy. I would like you, as all the Little Maidservants of Christ the King, along with all the friends of our large family to come to know the story of this Sister who is so sweet and affectionate. I thought that the best way to do this was through these beautiful drawings: colour them as your imagination suggests. Sister Antonietta Giugliano s most important teaching was that of loving our brothers and sisters always and everywhere. 4 Antonietta Giugliano was born to Francesco and Antonietta Moccia on 11th July She was baptised and given her mother s name. 3

5 4 She is a very sensitive little girl, full of love.

6 Antonietta is 6 when her mother fl ies to Heaven; Her father, Francesco takes care of her and her two little sisters. 5

7 6 The Giugliano family transfers to Afragola, a beautiful city near Naples.

8 Antonietta, living her life with a smile, dreams of her future. 7

9 8 Her father, Francesco has to go to work in America and entrusts Antonietta to The Sisters of Charity of Naples ( Suore della Carità ), who instruct and educate her.

10 In her college years, Antonietta, who is alight with faith, prays a lot and begins to learn all about a special friend Jesus. 9

11 10 Sensitive and attentive, she learns how to recognise that special friend, above all in the poor people who she meets along her path.

12 When her father remarries, Antonietta is already in search of her vocation. 11

13 12 At 23 years old, in 1932, she decides to leave everything to become a nun and to dedicate herself entirely to the poor.

14 Antonietta, guided by the Franciscan, Father Sosio Del Prete, takes care of old people who have been abandoned. 13

15 14 On 20 th October 1935, Sister Antonietta, along with other young friends, takes her vows. The Little Maidservants of Christ the King are born.

16 She loves the friend Jesus very deeply. Many other young people, eager to live like she does, follow in her footsteps. 15

17 16 Many poor people are helped by the Little Maidservants of Christ the King.

18 Each of them are offered love and hope. 17

19 18 Today, from up in Heaven, Jesus and Sister Antonietta and Father Sosio guide the sisters working in Italy, Romania, the Philippines and in Indonesia.
