1 THE STRUGGLE FOR REALITY History has recorded the failure of great nations and without exception a nation has and will fall when it s moral and spiritual foundation vanishes. Today, in the year 2008, the point where deterioration transfers to collapse first becomes visible and apparent in money matters. The condition in America is beyond government help, but not beyond God s help. The love of money is the root of all evil was the warning delivered by Timothy in the Bible 19 centuries ago. I Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. This verse paraphrased is telling America that the love of money or greed by some of America s leaders has stopped faith in God from working and reaping the consequences of much sorrow is in process. I believe our present economic condition, because of the love of money or greed, is a warning and if we heed the warning a reversal is possible. God is love and cannot act apart from love and His love allows freedom to choose personal beliefs and to experience the consequences of those beliefs. America is experiencing the consequences of the traditional church beliefs at this very moment in history. God loves America and has blessed our great nation because we have demonstrated the love of God by always going to the rescue of another nation that is in trouble. Our presence in Iraq is our love in action. If there were an earthquake in Tibet we would instantly dispatch aid. Our nation has love and has always demonstrated it. Our love for Israel is a Godly example. The ones that oppose America hate the love we give to other nations and believe that this aid should be used to redistribute wealth in America. Be it a warning if a political leader suggests using taxes for the redistribution of wealth. Taxing the wealthy is the danger signal. 1

2 This is a story in relation to when and where the love of money was introduced into America and surprisingly by a church 19 centuries ago and the church is still functioning. After 54 years of seriously walking with the Lord I can identify and understand how complex it is for you, so astray with the years of indoctrination into your choice of a religious organization and accompanied by your immovable judgments and because of this you may be experiencing a lack of perception in who God really is. If the consequences in America are not described in John 10:10b that Jesus has come to give life and life more abundantly then continue reading for a possible explanation and an opportunity to change your perception and that will change conditions. The counterpart to this promise from Jesus is something or someone has come to America to steal, kill and destroy our Christian nation. SOMEONE is the devil. SOMETHING is the love of money or greed. The start of the story: Maybe you have prayed for a loved one to be healed and they died. A good family man, community leader and businessman who was your friend never accepted Jesus before he died and you have concern that his blood maybe on your hands. And perhaps you are wondering if he is suffering in a burning fire for eternity. Did this good man deserve 15 or more trillion centuries of a continuous burning torture? 15 trillion is a number that could reflect everlasting. Perhaps you have attended a Catholic funeral of a friend and where the diseased was not considered a good Christian. Later you heard that the family had made large contributions to the priest to give your friend an escape from purgatory. Did you know the word purgatory is not in the original text of the Bible but was a make-believe term that offers this powerful church to continue extortion from its members? This is the largest Christian Church in the world. The significant meaning of the word hell and its synonyms, Hades or Shehole is a location for the dead or a grave. Hell has another meaning Geenna which was a burning trash dump outside of Jerusalem. In Acts 2:27, 31 tells us that when Jesus died he went to hell which was a grave. 2

3 The threat of hell as a place of everlasting torture is a mental perception of a God of wrath and anger that has deterred millions from becoming sons of God by the church s perversion of truth that Jesus came to give an escape from hell. The Pharisees hated Jesus because he came as a manifestation of God and His love. And his message of love disagreed with the Pharisees perception of their God of wrath and anger who would torture in an everlasting burning fire anyone who sinned. Who are the Pharisees today that point their fingers and warn, Your sinning will send you to hell? Does this sound like your pastor? Matthew 23:13, 15 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for you neither go in yourselves, nor allow them that are entering to go in. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, you make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves. Paraphrasing the above two verses. Jesus words were not complementary as he accused the Pharisees of not wanting and preventing others to be born again in order to enter the kingdom of God. Jesus also told the Pharisees that their extended overseas evangelistic efforts to convert someone to be a Pharisee was double disreputable for their character. It sounds to me that Jesus really wasn t happy with the Pharisees from his time or anyone today that warns or threatens anyone with a destiny of hell for sinning. The chief Pharisee of Jesus time was Nicodemus who wanted to enter the kingdom of God and Jesus simply said, You must be born again. Born again makes sons of God and should be the message in every church in America. Are pastors afraid of having sons of God in their Church? Or are pastors content with members who always will need the pastors help? If you will allow me to stop for a moment and engage in a private chat I believe will help with the balance of this article. Keep in mind that King James authorized his Version of the Bible. He died at 59 years of age with multiple diseases and mentally disturbed. God did not authorize the King James translation but has allowed you and me to study to show us approved and choose for ourselves if our God is love and can do nothing apart from love. Or is our God one of wrath and anger that saves so few and damns so many to an everlasting burning torment in hell for millions of centuries? 3

4 Ask yourself what if the original translators of the Bible, incidentally they were all converts from Catholicism, chose synonyms from the original Hebrew and Greek that reflected their church belief system? Catholics believe in a God of wrath and anger and a fear of hell after death? One example of many remarks Jesus made, cast into outer darkness this was a Jewish idiom and contemporarily says, That guy is sure in the dark? The correct meaning is, the kingdom of God is where sons of God live and there is light. Outer darkness is outside the kingdom of God where there is no perception of truth and darkness exists. Light and truth are synonyms. Three times Jesus spoke about plucking your eye out because it would better to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than into hell with two eyes. This is an obvious Jewish idiom and simply is saying, if your perception about something is wrong change it or you will lose your reputation. Hell in these three verses refers to a burning trash dump outside of Jerusalem. The eye is an idiom for perception or seeing the truth. Being thrown into the dump means losing your reputation. The original Greek spoken by the authors of the Bible was in the common language of the people or Koine Greek and contained innumerous Jewish idioms. Jesus spoke Aramaic but his words were written in Greek. The translators never translated a single Jewish idiom that Jesus spoke many times into a true understandable text. Our English language is full of idioms and like the Jewish idioms have contemporary meanings that are significant at a particular time in history. This would make a good game; see how many idioms we use today and imagine what an individual would think 2000 years from now about these sayings. Throw in the towel, a pain in the neck, kick the bucket, I d give an arm and a leg for that, I am dying to go, he gives me a stomach ache, she is worth dying for, hop in for a joy ride, that is out of reach, I am dead tired, I am dead broke, that is more than I can handle, he is really fired up, I am fed up, he has an evil eye, go jump in the lake, he is an anchor let s dump him, he really burns me up, that guy has a hole in his head, he has a golden touch, everything he touches turns to gold, does the cat have your tongue, tongue tied, he put his foot in his mouth and the list goes on and is unlimited. Are you beginning to see what God intended to say and what is translated in the King James Version can actually have meanings that are inconsistent with God s nature and His plans. Here is what I decided seven months ago: 4

5 I was concerned that our spiritual values in America were in a downward spiral and this would lead to more problems. I knew God had a message of victory in the scriptures and it was the responsibility of sons of God to make this happen. I knew God doesn t make mistakes so I wanted to investigate why the Christian message was failing. I was willing to set aside all traditional views I had and my search for truth began. Most importantly, I asked God for revelations to show me the truth, even if the revelations would affect my relationship with other Christians. And believe me it has significantly, but my relationships with non-christians has grown. My first thought do I want to believe and follow a God that is love, as I loved my children, and only have love and good things for them? I know I would never inflict eternal punishment on my sons or daughters for any mistake they made. I chose to believe that God s love could do nothing apart from love. I started studying and writing using a Hebrew and Greek concordance on my computer using Greek and Hebrew synonyms reflecting that God can do nothing apart from love. My articles are a reflection of my revised discernment about who God is. But what is also important I have discovered that I am emulating the nature of my new perception of God. I have love for everyone, regardless of their religion or color. I don t judge anyone by what they say or do and I am only aware of whom they are on the inside. My love for God has escalated 10 fold; my health has never been better and I have total freedom and peace. Actually it is as though I am a son of God and living in His kingdom. For the previous fifty-four years as a Christian my perception of God was; He will send you to hell if you don t accept Jesus and become a Christian. The following few paragraphs depict what I experienced as my former perception of God was embraced. Maybe you can identify with the events so I wrote it in the second person pronoun. On occasions you have attended a Christian dinner meeting and some of the ones there will stand up for a healing or a financial answer to an all-inclusive prayer by the chairman. You may even recognize these as some of the ones who stood up the last time you attended a similar meeting. At church you listen to your pastor invite anyone there to come forward to accept Jesus so they can go to heaven and won t go to hell after they die. Some pastors and maybe yours will tell the ones present to shut their eyes so anyone raising their hands or standing up or coming forward to accept Jesus will not be embarrassed. 5

6 Perchance your pastor will ask the audience to raise their hands or stand up to be blessed with a prayer for healing or finances. At some churches the audience will be asked to form a line so the pastor can lay his hands on them. 14 Christian Churches close every week and 6 new Mosques are opened. Spiritual values in America are in a downhill slide with economics following. You are aware of what God has spoken along with His promises and yet you wonder why His word and the results of His word are not in harmony. You have even heard in John 10:10 two promises: 1. Satan has come to kill, steal and destroy. 2. Jesus has come that we might have life and have it more abundantly. Just out of curiosity, does number 1 or 2 describe conditions in America or looking deeper how about your own life? Ask yourself a hypothetical question. Would the world be different if there were one million sons of God like Jesus on earth rather than the millions of church members playing religious games? I used one million but the number could be 100 times this if the message God gave mankind had been obeyed since Christianity was birthed. God has always wanted innumerable sons like Jesus and Jesus birth, death and resurrection made provisions for this to happen. Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Instead of the birth of innumerable sons of God Christianity has followed the church in Rome with a message that Jesus birth, death and resurrection was to escape hell and go to heaven after death. It must be difficult for you, so lost in your awareness of reality and yet so sure of your own beliefs to even begin to understand, let alone visualize, who real love and goodness are. God s original words are inerrant in truth and relate to His desire to have relationships with His innumerable sons and daughters that were born again ever since the birth of Jesus. God, being a Spirit, was unable to communicate as a human with His creation. 6

7 God s only choice was to send His Son as a human who is a perfect manifestation of God and His love for humanity. God purpose in creation was to have countless sons like Jesus who he could have fellowship and relationships. As a son of God I have enormous pleasure in talking to my Father and I know He enjoys our daily conversations equally. He loves to hear my gratitude and thanksgiving for our relationship that my brother Jesus made possible. God vicariously enjoys my joy and happiness just as I get much pleasure out of my sons success and happiness. The popular term born again or re-birth means it is possible to experience a spiritual metamorphose that imparts God s blood into the recipient thereby fulfilling God s desire to have a son like Jesus. Like Adam created in God s image and likeness. Jesus is called the second Adam and if you are born again you have been counted as one of many brethren. Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. A father imparts his blood into the fetus with his seed. The mother s blood feeds the fetus from conception until birth. The Jewish race is the only one that its birthright is from the mother. This happened because Jesus Father was not a member of any race and Jesus is a Jew because his mother was a Jewess. Jesus is not a Christian and did not come to earth to establish Christianity. Jesus was born with the incorruptible seed or God s word and is the same seed you can be reborn with. I Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which lives and abides for ever. God gave the re-birth of a beautiful butterfly from a ugly caterpillar for examples of physical metamorphose. God s design with the natural has a spiritual counterpart. The metamorphose process is unlimited and the offer is available to all humanity. The enormity of the love of God was shown when He allowed Jesus to be born knowing that his crucifixion would follow. 1. The unilateral experience by Jesus on the cross also put sin to death. 2. Remember in I Corinthians 15:56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 7

8 3. God resurrected Jesus and thereby abolished death. THESE THREE EVENTS HAPPENED IN ORDER THAT GOD COULD SHOW MANKIND HIS LOVE AND WHO HE IS AND HAVE INNUMERABLE SONS LIKE JESUS AND RECREATE HEAVEN ON EARTH. How do these three events make the following statement sound? God who is love and His mercy endures forever saves so few and damns so many and with wonder are any escapable from damnation. Martin Luther, 1554 AD. Do you believe that God gave man dominion over the earth as He spoke in Genesis 1:26 and 27 and Adam gave up control because he chose to obtain knowledge of good and evil? Do you believe that 4000 years later God permitted Jesus, the second Adam, to be born on planet earth to reverse the first Adam s mistakes and to demonstrate how the Garden of Eden or heaven on earth including dominion over the earth could be reinstated? If you do then, Study to show yourself approved by God and ask, Am I a son of God just as Jesus is a Son of God? How about your pastor and members in your church? II Timothy 2:15 Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. This scripture, paraphrased for today, Analyze and scrutinize the word of God in order for you to become the person God intended and then you will be a positive witness as a son of God. It is my opinion that the perception you have of God is your free choice and gives you the right to believe that God is wrath and anger and punishes for disobedience or sin in an eternal burning fire called hell. Your God has love for the very few who have accepted Jesus for forgiveness of sins and God will spare them from an eternity in hell and give them an eternity in heaven, both taking place after death. Taking the Bible as translated in the King James Version which leaves Jewish idioms as literal will support your belief in the God of your choice and your determination of truth will prevent you from accepting any conflicting thoughts. This belief embraces accepting Jesus will grant entrance into heaven after death. In Greek save, sozo and salvation, soteria do not mean an escape from hell as the traditional church teaches. 8

9 The world s condition is a reflection of this popular belief. There is another story that emerges as you study and describe the word of God using synonyms that manifest the love of God as demonstrated by Jesus and translates 2000-year-old Jewish idioms to a contemporary meaning. This story portrays God who is love and does nothing apart from love has created mankind as His sons and daughters positionally. But in order to experience or receive the inheritance of the New Covenant you must be born again and receive the salvation Jesus provided with his birth and death on the cross. The New Testament or New Covenant is addressed to living now and not a life after death. The New Covenant blessings are detailed in Deuteronomy 28:1-14 These two separate commitments, born again and salvation fulfill God s desire to have innumerable sons like Jesus and who, like Jesus, can destroy the works of the devil including the works of terrorism and the works of greed in the market. This belief embraces Jesus birth, death and resurrection is to grant living in heaven on earth now while living as spoken in the Lord s Prayer. Sons of God like Jesus can change and redirect the world into living in the kingdom of God or heaven on earth. This will start the reversal of the pending physical and financial disasters that our government is unable to accomplish. God has given America many blessings and the in progress shaking is a wake up alert that something is spiritually incorrect. FEAR is causing the financial world to panic. Perfect love casts out fear. Perfect love is only available if your perception of God is love. If your perception of God has wrath and anger and will cast someone into hell, Perfect love is out of reach. I believe that sons of God, like Jesus, are able to implement God s will. 9
