5 General Information We warmly welcome you to this forty-fourth meeting of the Philadelphia Conference on Reformed Theology (founded in 1974). If you have arrived late and have not yet registered, you may do so at the registration table in the narthex. It will be open following the Friday night meeting and Saturday morning before the all-day session. There will be refreshments in the fellowship hall during registration. Lunch will be served in the fellowship hall for those that pre-ordered a meal. The conference bookstore is located in rooms 143 and 144. Audio recordings of the conference can be ordered at the audio table in the narthex. Free shipping is available for orders placed during the conference. Music for the conference has been provided by Westminster Brass (James Hala, director); Chancel Choir of Proclamation Presbyterian Church (Dr. Ryan Kelly, director and organist); Beth Jenkins, organ and piano; Gregory Feldmann, bass. The final service of the 2017 conference coincides with the Sunday morning worship service of Proclamation Presbyterian Church at 11:00 a.m. Dr. Richard Phillips will be speaking on Revelation 5:11-14, The Reformation s Passion: Soli Deo Gloria. The PCRT is partially supported by the sales of recordings of our events, therefore audio and video recording is strictly prohibited during any part of this event without prior written consent from the Alliance and Proclamation Presbyterian Church. 14 About the Speakers Daniel Doriani is professor of theology and vice president of strategic academic projects at Covenant Theological Seminary, where he also served as dean of faculty and professor of New Testament. He has fifteen years of pastoral experience, principally as senior pastor of Central Presbyterian Church, a large university church in St. Louis. He has written fourteen books on Scripture, hermeneutics, and gender and family issues and has contributed to eight others. A frequent conference speaker, he and his wife, Deborah, have three daughters. Richard Phillips serves as senior pastor of Second Presbyterian Church in Greenville, SC, and is chair of the Philadelphia Conference on Reformed Theology. He has written several books including What s So Great about the Doctrines of Grace? He also writes for the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals at reformation21.org. Carl Trueman is a co-host on the Mortification of Spin podcast, professor of Church History at Westminster Theological Seminary, and pastor of Cornerstone Presbyterian Church. He has an M.A. in Classics from the University of Cambridge and a Ph.D. in Church History from the University of Aberdeen and has taught on the faculties of theology at both the University of Nottingham and the University of Aberdeen. He has authored a number of books, including The Creedal Imperative and Luther on the Christian Life: Cross and Freedom. Timothy Witmer serves as pastor of St. Stephen Reformed Church in New Holland, PA, and writes for the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals at theshepherdleader.org. He has written several books including The Shepherd Leader. He also leads Shepherd Our Sheep (SOS) workshops and seminars to aid church leaders in understanding the importance of shepherding their congregations. 12

15 What is the Alliance The Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals is a coalition of confessional pastors, scholars, and churchmen who hold the historic creeds and confessions of the Reformed faith and who proclaim biblical doctrine in order to foster a Reformed awakening in today s Church.
